Zulma smiled at Gren and listened to Terry.
"The day for what? What plan?" she asked.
She had totally forgotten that she was supposed to help Howard with the food.

"Fantastic! Thank you, Howard!" Terry answered him before finally getting into details. "Well, there's a certain someone I've been trying to woo as of late, and while it has taken some time and effort, today is the day I finally win her heart." He beamed at the thought, hands cupping a now-filled mug.

Zulma looked at Terry.
"I wish you luck and happiness." She answered almost in a whisper.
Then she walked to Howard.
"Don't forget that I am suppose to help!" she reminded him softly.

"Too late!"
Howard's hands shifted about the food until finally he had three finished crepes, going around and giving each their own.
"Strawberries for Terry, Nutella for Gren, and..."
He bopped Zulma playfully on the nose with her crepe.
"...sugar for you. And no complaints out of you missie, you're much too old for that."
He snickered and bowed to all three.

Smiling, he accepted the crepe with a chuckle. "Thanks! And, Zulma, enjoy it...Howard's quite good. And, Terry, what's the plan?"

Zulma smiled at Howard and took her crepe.
With a nod to Gren, she bit into it.
She savored it with half closed eyes.
"Delicious." she commented once her first bite in her stomach.
She finished her crepe quickly but did not remain in the kitchen to hear Terry's plan. Instead she walked to her favorite spot by the fire place.

He eyed her as she left to sit by the fireplace. Something about her solitary position there always... He didn't know.

Terry accepted the crepe, smiling down at it. Sure, strawberries didn't look entirely appetizing through his eyes, but that did nothing to change their actual taste. Apples, however, were hit-and-miss...nothing like biting into a Granny Smith thinking it was a Red Delicious. Pushing those amusing thoughts aside, he focused back on the plans for the day.
"I've come to realize that grand gestures don't really help my cause," he admitted, sipping at the tea and letting the crepe wait until he was actually done talking. "So I'm keeping things simple and low-key...small bouquet, dinner out, maybe a walk if it isn't too cold...and finding that perfect opportunity to ask."

Zulma stared into the flames, sitting on the carpet as she usually did.
Unconsciously, her hand went to her neck. She pulled a necklace, to be precise, a crystal, a broken crystal. She did not look at it, just held it in her hand then put it back under her clothes.
She was still hungry and she would not mind another crepe, but she did not want to be in the kitchen.

He thought for a moment, then made several more sugar crepes and set them on a plate, walking out to take a seat across from Zulma.
"Hey. In need of any more? The things can be addictive, I know it."

For a second she looked up at Howard with lost eyes then she smiled earnestly.
"I have to admit that I am starving." She took the plate.
"Thank you very much. They are truly delicious. You are indeed a great cook." She spook warmly and bit into another crepe with delight.

Gren nodded, finishing his breakfast, licking off the remains of the Nutella. He was worried, true, but perhaps Howard was going to get the answers to questions he didn't want to ask.

She ate some more.
"Oh...do you want any?" she extended the plate to him.
She tilted her head.
"Is something the matter?" she asked quietly.
