"Ah...I see." hummed Gren sipping his cocktail. "Thing of it is, Albee's your son. A kid, still, no matter what form he can take. First running off, then coming back and not telling him anything? Poor kid was worried sick, and gets the cold shoulder. And then picking up a new lady? Sounds to me like you've forgotten how important you are to him, and in turn weren't giving his opinion any regard."
He nodded to Max, grinning. "That too."

Zulma smiled at Max. She was so up beat and cheerful.
The innkeeper had some of her own drink.
"I am glad you like it."
She chuckled at the way the woman described the situation. Did panther have puberty? She shook the question off.
"How have you been Max?" she asked to change her mind.

"I'm doin' alright...glad Sol's stopped askin' me about stuff for a bit. I don't mind or anythin', but it was kinda sad stuff. Me an' Remy are doin' great, though we're takin' it slow by some people's standards. Ya gotta see his new bracer. It's totally badass...I designed it myself!" Max chatted, taking another sip and definitely getting a hint of Midori.

Howard smiled grimly.
"I'm guessing both. And he's gonna take his puberty and smack it over my head soon. As for the events lately, Gren... I know. I've been a jerk to the little guy... But I can't very well apologize to someone who won't even look at me let alone speak with me."
Meanwhile, Laimu re-entered the room with Kristen, his jacket now around her. He clipped his collar back on as they entered.

Zulma's throat tightened. "I am glad."
She took another sip of her own drink, staring at her glass for a moment.
"I cannot wait to see it." she said softly.
A couple entered and she did not look at them. Instead she finished her drink at once and prepared another one a little stronger. This was going to be more trying than she thought.

Max looked to Zulma, blinking at her reaction. "...you're lookin' kinda like Howard, Zulma..." She was distracted from the sensation she was forgetting something by a slight draft and the arrival of a pair.
Jacket around the shoulders...and I coulda swore they were-- oh, you go, girl! Max beamed, raising her glass to them.
Kristen pulled off the jacket, handing it back to him as she made her way for the fireplace. "I really should bring my own next time, even if I do not wear it immediately..."

Zulma raised her eyes to Max.
"You mean I look like a cook?" she said with a chuckle. Her cocktail was ready.
"If you'll excuse me..." she smiled at Max, took her glass and her coat hanging next to the door and left. She need fresh air.

Max blinked, watching Zulma pass by and leave. Only after she had departed did the technicolor hacker finally remember. "Aw, man! How'd I forget that?!" She said, smacking her forehead. Frowning in thought, she sat and sipped at the cocktail, wondering how and who to ask about this...
"Yes, please! As long as it is warm, I shall let you surprise me." Kristen smiled, holding her chilled hands to the fire and feeling them warm quickly. Only now did she turn her attention to Gren and Howard...it sounded like the cook was having some problems, likely ones she could not solve. As a matter of fact, she actually had a favor to ask of him...

"Let's see... I go up to him, about to apologize, and he walks away. I literally wrote a big posterboard out of desperation that said 'I want to talk' and he turned away. Like that."
Laimu went into the kitchen for a few minutes and whipped up two hot chocolates, placing marshmallows in each. He returned and placed one before Kristen.
"Careful, it's hot."
He smirked at the irony.
