"Really?! Dude, and she didn't invite any of us? Not even Ty?! Man...that's kind of a rip..." Max pouted, but it didn't last...she was too happy for Laura to be miffed by such a detail.
Terry took a sip of his drink, raising his glass to Laura's success. Hopefully, she'd find more happiness to come...for that matter, Zulma could use some, too.

Albee stopped for a moment and plopped back to the floor, waltzing over to Zulma and looking up to her with bright childish eyes.

She patted his head.
"You are quite impressive, I cannot wait to see more!" she said enthusiastically.

"Yeah...guess you're right...I just, I dunno, I guess I thought she'd at least tell us." Max shrugged, already over it. She probably had accidentally blown off at least twice as many people, so she had no room to talk.
"Laura achieved her degree? This is wonderful news," Kristen grinned, arriving in the main room. "And Terry...my, so much positive energy in here!"
"Is she already gossiping, or are you doing that whole psychic thing?" Terry asked, authentically curious. How was he being portrayed in her tales?

He suddenly wrapped his arms around Zulma's waist, hugging her close.
Laimu spotted Kristen and brightened just a bit more, waving a long arm to her.

Zulma opened wide eyes and stared at the child. What did he want? A hug? A trick?
She did not decide to do so, but her arms dropped to the boy's head and shoulders and she smiled at him.
"That's a new trick?" she mused amused.

"The latter," Kristen reassured him simply before waving to Laimu. "Good evening! You seem in an incredibly good mood..."
Terry breathed a heavy sigh of relief, settling into a particularly comfy chair and relaxing for a while, trying to at least calm that giddy energy. A girlfriend...an amazing, beautiful, talented girlfriend, and MacPere could go eat a little humble pie.
"Yeah...but why in here?" Max asked, tapping the orange book. "Doesn't seem quite her style...then again, guess I can't judge."

"Fair enough...maybe it's like a scrapbook or diary or somethin'," Max speculated before eying Terry's drink. "I'm thirsty...need anything, Remy?"

Albee grinned happily, hugging her close. She liked her a lot, not the way he liked Charlotte but... It made him quease to think of it, but the way he used to like Howard. It was like having a... He let himself be squeezed, a hole he didn't know he had instantly filled up.
