Violet swallowed again with some difficulty, now more due to that lump in her throat over the whole thing. Having tears to cry again felt so alien...and yet, she seemed human again in being able to. It was by far the worst part...not the cult members themselves and their cruel and painful rituals and games, but the uninitiated in the house who showed no compassion or mercy. She always assumed that they were avoiding punishment themselves...or perhaps they were already halfway there, too.
"I...I'm just...don't let them..." She choked out, reaching blindly for the tea.

Violet sipped at the tea, her hands visibly shaking. "I...I see them, in my nightmares. Th-they say...they say I b-belong to them..." She sat it down, afraid of spilling it on herself. "I...what if...if they find me?"

The more she thought about the possibilities, the more anxious she became, and it seemed more like reality. They were watching her...they'd find her...and what if they took others from here?

"..." Violet looked away before lifting her ragged shirt slightly and displaying a few scars. There were more on her legs, but she felt it'd be awkward to start disrobing in the main room. Still...he made a good point. If they were able to find her, to get her out of there...maybe...
