Violet trembled, closing her eyes fearfully. "M-make it qu-quick..."
"Thank you," Azana said, building a small current in her palm. "Hopefully, you'll just feel a small sting." She reached forward to what looked like its locking mechanism, taking hold and feeling pain shoot up her arm. She tried to let go, but her arm had tensed up uncontrollably as it tried to fight off the sensation. After about fifteen seconds, she was able to wrench her hand away, panting for breath.
Violet, meanwhile, let out a pained cry, devolving into sobs as it subsided.
"...the ******** did they do to that thing?!" Azana said at last, shaking her hand as the last vestiges of the sensation passed. "Sorry for the language, but seriously!"

"Obviously, it didn't short out," Azana said, still a bit cranky from the painful pulse. "That's one seriously mean seal..."
Violet hugged her knees to her chest...she thought she'd be used to it by now, but it never seemed to dull. "...It...it'll never come off..."
"Hey, we're not done yet," Azana snarled, mostly at the choker. "That sonnuva b***h is coming off one way or another..."

Violet's tear-streaked face turned to his, a faint blush crossing her cheeks as the charm kicked in. "Y-yes...?"
"Ugh, and I wanted to keep HQ out of this," Azana groaned, coming back from the bar with a drink. "I've got a couple more options to work through, but I might have to call in some help..."
((Might go on a momentary errand to the corner store.))

Violet nodded, that vaguely adorable twitchy grin reappearing alongside her blushing cheeks. "O-okay..."
Azana nodded, but still let out an exasperated sigh. "I guess you're right...let's try and not tell Chris about this development. He'd probably blow a fuse."
Kristen was happy to see the situation defused for now, leaning on Laimu now. This silence seemed awkward in the wake of all that...maybe he needed cheering up?

Howard nodded, taking up more oranges and peeling them all, handing out slices to each. Things like this went on and on, One chibi asking a question that usually had to do with food, and Howard ending up serving them all. But he took the job with pride, giving them what they wanted. And though he didn't need to tell himself, he confirmed it in his heart:
He loved having children again.
