Chris arrived back downstairs a mere manner of seconds before there was a knocking at the door. He opened it and found himself face to face with Merlin. The old wizard was clad in simple robes and beneath his snowy beard, he wore a joyous smile.
"Hello, Christopher," he said, embracing the hero.
"Hello, teacher, it has been too long. Please, come in. Welcome to the Inn of Peace. Can I get you anything?"
"Some wine and a chair by the fire will do, Christopher. But first, I would like to meet this young lady you informed me of. If the situation is as dire as you indicated, we have no time to waste."

"It appears we may be displaced, dear Laimu," Kristen muttered, glancing to the arriving guest. It didn't take much to see that there was something special about him. "...so it is true, after all."
"I-I can get it, Chris," Stella stammered nervously, heading over to the bar and wonder where Sosol had went. After all, he was the expert here...
"...I ran out of ideas," she said at last, "or maybe...I just stopped trying...I could never do anything like this..."

Laimu spotted the wizened old man and nodded along with her, speaking off the corners of his lips as he looked at him.
"Perhaps... a table... then..."

Myras looked on as he watched the image resembling the old Mage with interest, though faded. As a child he had learned a few things, but he himself knew little more than what any other child would. For some reason, Merlin was as obscure in the city of the grand mages as it does with the rest of the world.

"Thank you, Gren," she said, relieved and entirely grateful for the help. As Chris was busy getting Violet over, she approached the wizard, swallowing her nerves. "Hello...I'm a big fan."
"..." Violet nodded, standing up from her reading and drawing to follow Chris.
"A table would be an excellent idea. Perhaps you could fetch us a drink while I relocate us?"

"Always happy to meet an admirer, Miss Stevenson. May I say that I have been captivated by some of your exploits as well," the elderly wizard chuckled, warmly grasping Stella's hand. "I wanted to express my gratitude towards you and your organization for being such good friends to Christopher. He is like a son to me and I am relieved to know that he is well looked after."
Chris approached with Violet. "I hate to interrupt, but I'd like to introduce you to Violet. Violet, this is my teacher, Merlin."

Gren patted Violet's shoulder lightly as she went, preparing the drink. "At least I can do this..." Strolling over calmly, he held it out to the wizened mage. "Here you are, sir...enjoy."
"The great Merlin is here to try and get that collar off of Violet's neck." he explained calmly.

Stella blushed, glancing away bashfully. He knew her...he was thanking her... "W-well, he certainly does deserve it...his band of heroes have been a saving grace on many occasions. It's an honor to know them, and you. When you get a moment, I should likely introduce you to the woman who got this beautiful relationship started, but it seems business always comes first." She nodded, bowing out of the conversation and taking a step back to see his appraisal of Violet's situation.
Wow...I really get to see him at work. I wonder what approach he'll take...
"...h-hello," Violet greeted, hands clasped in front of her. "...you look...like the stories say..."
"Hm...how about a warm cider?" Kristen requested, taking her seat. "And whatever you want, of course."

I just love the connections this place has. If you need to, you can get ing Merlin himself to make a housecall.
Joking aside, I'm surprised. I thought he was long dead... After all, it's in the PR that he died at the age of 1321 years old in the middle ages... How very confusing... Is it the original? Or perhaps a decendant by the same name...
