"Thank you..." He replied slowly, serving up the pasta with as little break in eye contact as possible. "I'll just... give this... to..." He took a fork from the cutlery drawer as he stepped backward, gaze remaining until the door closed. He gave a shuddering sigh, highly please, and put on his best Italian accent."V-Violet! Pasta~!"

"You will not believe the day I'm having. I got Max to do some digging and we found Violet's adoptive family. Based on what they told me, I think that when she was a child she may have been abducted by extraterrestrials. It's possible that they did something to her head. This is where it gets difficult. I need to scan her brain and find out what's in there, but I don't think she'd be up for something like that. I may need help convincing her."

Gren smiled, rubbing his cheek at the itching scars, getting a glass of water.
Nishi scampered out of his nest, glaring at the newcomer. Sniffing the air around him, he wasn't important. The blood, however, looked good. He began lapping at it.

Sosol blinked, though it would only seem a moment of silence on the other side of his sunglasses. "...I don't know what I find more unbelievable, the idea of her being abducted by aliens, or the idea that any sort of convincing will get her to submit to a brain scan. She's already heading up the stairs..."
Violet turned at the sound of Eli's voice, slipping in her climb up the stairs and coming to rest a couple steps below where she had been, now on her knees with a hand clinging to the banister. Her other arm clutched her sketchbook to her chest, the box of pencils in hand. She was so hungry, but all those weird gadgets were waiting, too...
"..." The man smirked, getting an idea. "You can get more if you help me out of here..."

"I know it seems farfetched, Sol, and that's why Max is still investigating it. But if it is true, it would explain why these people want her so bad." He pulled out some printouts of the sketches Stacy had seen. "Here. She drew these after she popped back up from her disappearing act. It's possible that they're alien glyphs."

Sosol nodded, looking over the pictures. "I wish I had the actual book..." He sighed, glancing to the stairs as Violet slid down slowly. "...we can give it a try, but I doubt she'll consent to something that, well, intimidating. Some of that looked like it belonged in that basement..."
Violet skirted the wall, keeping as much distance as she could from Chris as she made her way toward Gren and Eli. "..."
"...greeeat," he said with an exasperated sigh. He couldn't walk well, and any sigil he drew was getting slurped by a three-inch high...something. "Lady Kasdeya will not be pleased..."

Howard stepped downstairs with a bounce in his stride, happier after his cuddle with Xei. But as he entered the lobby, he couldn't help but sense... an uneasiness in the air, unlike its usual flair.

Growing bored, Nishi rolled about in what remained of the sigil, smudging it into what could only be called a 'blood angel'.

Sosol nodded, waving him off as he went for a well-deserved rest, though it did beg the question now...where exactly was she supposed to sleep with all that stuff in her normal room? He looked to Violet sadly...even if she did say yes, she'd be terrified...there had to be another way. Maybe he could--no. She wouldn't want that, either.
To Gren's question, it seemed he would have to answer. Chris has a really bizarre working hypothesis and wants to get into her head. I think she saw some of his gizmos when he was bringing them in.
Violet grinned sheepishly, setting down her book and pencils and taking up a fork. At this point, anything was delicious, but Eli really underestimated himself. "...this is good. You are...a better cook...than you claim." She ate voraciously, obviously a bit hungry.
