The cook caught him out of the air as he returned to his normal self, placing him on the counter. He pet Emi on the head and sat down as he picked up an empty cup.

After all was said and done, it seemed more would be said and done before this reached any good resolution. He gave a sigh as people went their separate ways and leaned in close to Violet. "Can I talk to you downstairs, please...?"
Violet nodded, picking up her notebook and pencils and leading the way to the medical room...which was, until they moved her dream catcher, her room. She sat on the bed, leaving the chairs of the room for Sosol. "...everyone was talking...in such quiet tone...it's about me..."
"Yes it was," Sosol sighed, taking a seat. "They were finding out about what all happened around your disappearance at thirteen...Chris thinks you received some sort of knowledge, something these people would want. Are you absolutely sure you can't remember anything about those three days?"
Violet shook her head. "...they always ask...but I don't know...and they don't believe me...a-and they--"
"I understand..." He said, projecting the best comforting aura he could muster right now. "Chris wants to know what they want, so he can have a better idea of how to keep you safe...but his method is, well, downright scary."
Violet nodded emphatically in agreement...all those machines frightened her to no end, especially if they were supposed to be attached. "Th-thank you..."
Sosol inwardly hated himself for doing this, but if it would get Chris off his case and help deal with this problem sooner...it was at least worth a try. "Violet...please listen to me, and listen carefully; I am only going to explain and ask once. You have a whole day to think it over. I know that all of this has been terrifying to say the least, that everyone seems to see something special in you except for you. I...I can do more than just lift objects, but I refuse to look within you without your explicit consent. If you would allow me, I would only seek those lost memories, and I would leave whenever you asked. If you refuse, absolutely nothing will change. I will not be angry with you, nor will anyone else. We will find a way to protect you without knowing what they're after."
It was a bit more long-winded than he had hoped, but he wanted to cover his bases. "Did you understand all that?"
Violet nodded, but said nothing. It wasn't machines...and she liked Sosol...but she just wasn't sure about this, and it showed all over her expression.
"You don't have to decide now. I know it's hard for you...take the time you need. In the meantime, sleep well...we'll see about moving your dream catcher somewhere more comfortable tomorrow." He smiled to her, leaving the room and closing the door behind him. To be honest, the prospect of doing this scared him, too. One cultist's handshake resulted in visions of five murders...Violet had been through and seen so much, it was a psychic's minefield.
I really, really hope she says no...
