"I know I don't have to. I'm doing so anyway," Sosol answered him, the faint flash of a smile as he strolled past into the kitchen. "Violet, I think we can handle it."
Violet nodded, turning her attention to Remy. "...what should I learn first...?"
"I put in a vote for Mario Party! Easiest game I know!" Max called, hopping downstairs looking bright and clean as ever.

"Mario Party. It's all mini games, and really fun!" he agreed, starting the console.
"Thanks, Sol..." he grinned, sidling into the kitchen. Digging in in pantry cupboard, he called out "D'you want to handle meat, or vegetables?"

"I can handle the veggies," Sosol answered him, finding a good half of them already on the counter. He gave a soft grin...after he was done here, maybe he'd be in a mood to hear about Kristen's date.
"An' they teach ya how ta play each of 'em!" Max added, flopping down and grabbing a controller. "I call Peach!"
Azana shrugged, taking a seat. "How many can play? I don't want to take a spot from Violet..."
Violet sat down, picking up the controller and looking it over. "...okay..."

"All right..." he said, setting out the two types of tortilla. "Then I've got the meat." he pulled some from the freezer, beginning to defrost it.
"Four can. here!" smiled Remy, holding out the controller to Azana, before taking one for himself. "Right. So, the A button is select, and the B is cancel. The control stick is how you move around to select stuff or move...after that, they'll tell you, okay?"

Sosol nodded, already dicing an onion. This was a moment of forced calm outside of his isolation and meditation, and he was thankful...maybe the enthusiasm in the other room would be contagious.
"Thanks, I guess I'll take Luigi," Azana said, taking a seat on the floor.
"A select...B cancel..." Violet repeated to herself, choosing Yoshi.
"Ya got it already!" Max cheered, sticking to her Peach call.

Microwave dinging, Gren began preparing the burger. He was certain he was right in letting them man go...but, could he convince his husband?
"And I'll take Wario." grinned Remy. "Pick a stage!"

"..." Violet moved the control, choosing Wario's Battle Canyon.
"Cannons!" Max cheered, ready and raring to go.
"Doesn't matter...this one's all mine." Azana leaned forward slightly.
"Done," Sosol said, setting down the knife and scooping the last of the lettuce into a bowl. His thoughts were still somewhat on Vincent...he just didn't seem the sort, but those groups had a way of getting under peoples' skin. There has to be a way to save him from himself...it's the least I could do.
((Going home. It seemed to be a success.))

"...I refuse to believe Vincent is doing all this voluntarily," Sosol said at last, shaking his head. "I know it's been years...but...this isn't like him."
Azana sighed, only getting six. Oh well, it was coins.
Max sped ahead with a solid eight, finding herself the first shot out of the cannon.
Kristen watched on with interest, deciding she'd replace whoever finished last, even though she was pretty certain it would be Violet.
Violet hit the block, sending Yoshi just short of the cannon space...and the first mini-game was set to begin.

Violet was doing her best, but it was clear she was inexperienced.
Azana, meanwhile, was as competitive as ever...
matched only by Max and her video game fervor.
((But Remy wins this game by randomizer.))
