Fenyx, carrying his sword, devoid of all magic, sighed. He had not realized that being a normal person would be so exhausting. He muttered "Practe bigi nar, lux" under his breath. Nothing happened. He knew that, since light did not appear, his magic was truly gone, for the rest of the day.

Angeles listened and was astonished at the price of the supplies, as well as the fact that the blood came from Louie's supplier. She felt a little bit of pride to be drinking the same sot of blood as the benevolent king. But with such a price to pay for Zulma, and her getting millions of gold for single marks, how could she not accept?
"It's a deal my friend," she said shaking Zulma's hand. She smiled, "now you must rest, Gren and Macpere will be down shortly to speak with you themselves."
Angeles turned again to go back up the stairs, this time not to leave forever, but to stay. The sun was setting, her powers would soon return.

Zulma's eyes were glowing of joy and she nodded several times her head with a wide smile. She did not know what to say.
As Angeles passed the door, Zulma whispered. "Thank you."
She laid back down on her bed and just stared at the ceiling a happy smile on her face. Angeles had told her the truth and she was staying. Zulma needed the vampire to be around. She liked the woman's company very much despite its risks.

The sun finally had set by the time she reached the top of the stairs. MacPere and Gren were nowhere to be seen and she thought that odd. She decided, seeing as to how she was no longer leaving, that she might as well do something. She took off her hat and set it on the table, Indara, who had fluttered onto her shoulder when she entered Zulma's room, fluttered away and landed on it peacefully. Nick fluffed his feathers and hooted deeply before flying away to perch on the back of her chair. Xander crawled out and hung off her pocket.
Angeles took off her coat next and also set it on the table and walked over to the fire place, creating a blue flame to burn onto the logs. The room heated up quickly and she went around to turn on all the lights of the inn.

Mixi hid in a corner of the room now disguised as a spider. She weaved a small web and looked about. Zefianna was not here... Where had she gone? Mixi had something very important to tell her now.

Angeles walked over to the kitchen and turned on the lights and stopped looking at the stove. She folded her arms and leaned her shoulder against the doorway as she thought to herself, "perhaps I should learn how to cook. It would be a nice thing to do for the inn ever now and then. but it might be a problem that i wouldn't be able to taste anything I made... so I wouldn't know if it was good or not."
She hummed in thought then walked away from the kitchen. She stopped and thought to herself. She felt terrible also for the way she had treated Kageko. it had just been a really terrible day and the discovery of her husband's locket just topped it off. if she had never found it, she would have been fine. Pehaps she could forgive the girl, it wasn't her fault that it was in her possesion. Perhaps Kageko could forgiver her as well.
Then she smelled something and looked over at a spider in the corner of the room. It seemed normal, but it smelled off, "I know you're there," she said, unsure if the thing was even sentient.

Rose's stomach rumbled, it had been a full day since she had eaten. She looked at the Inn, wondering if she was allowed to go in too. Her stomach rumbled again. She hadn't been this hungry since she had first left the Master's home. She gathered her courage and walked over to the door. She had seen the people walk in and out of here, so she could probably sneak in and hope they were kind. She looked at the doorknob, completely perplexed. It didn't look like any of the door handles she had ever seen before. It was round, and Rose couldn't tell which way it turned. Her stomach rumbled again and she looked in the window. She saw a woman step inside the room and lean against the door. Maybe this Mistress will let me in, Rose thought. She tapped on the glass and scratched the door like she did when she was still at home.

Angeles looked over as a noise caught her ears and she blinked a couple times before walking towards the door. She thought that perhaps a cat was outside, or a dog, but as she got nearer the scent was human, and familiar. When she opened the door she was looking down at the girl from the previous night. Had she been standing there all day?
Angeles looked at the girl with a perplexed expression and waited for some sort of explanation.

The door was opened and Rose blinked as the light met her eyes. She saw the Mistress tat had opened it staring at her, this made Rose very self-concious.
"Um, S-sorry to bother you Mistress, but may I please come inside and have something to eat?"

Mixi heard the woman speak sure from her smell that she was some form of vampire. She ignored it though unknowing if the woman could speak animal. She looked about waiting for Zefianna. She had such important news and she wasn't here. If she waited much longer she would have to teleport but that would drain un-neccesary energy.She rotated her small head around. Perhaps it would be easier to disguise herself as a child. Then she could explore...

Angeles' eyebrow raised as the girl asked her question, "I had told you that you could come in the other night," she said, stepping to the side to allow the girl in, "as far as eating...," she paused, "I can't cook, but there might be something in the fridge."
Angeles strode over to the kitchen and walked over to the fridge and opened it up. There were some sandwiches and what looked like pancakes, perhaps Gren and MacPere's breakfast and lunch? Hopefully they wouldn't mind if she took them to feed the child.
She took out the plate of sandwiches and the pancakes and set them on the counter and asked the girl, "we have these, what would you like?"

Mixi set her gaze on the vampire girl. She watched intently. She seemed nice enough but she knew she would be recognized. It was a well known fact vampires had an extreme sense of smell and of course she had a certain air that all had when shape shifted. But of course she could hide it. She just didn't feel like hiding it yet. She pondered the thought of it as she watched.

Rose looked at the food the Mistress laid out for her. It looked strange. She picked up the sandwhich.
"Thank you, Mistress for this meal." Then she walked over to the corner of the room, knelt, and ate it quickly. It was as good tasting as it was strange. When she was growing up she had always been given cooked meat by the Masters and sometimes they would give her plants too. But never together like this inbetween bread.

Angeles watched her with growing curiosity and worry, "you may sit at the tables," she said tilting her head slightly. She ate the sandwich so quickly that Angeles considered a fact: you did not need to cook to make sandwiches. Angeles took the plate of pancakes and set it at a table and pulled the chair out, "here, sit here and eat these, I'll make you more sandwiches."
Angles then walked back to the kitchen and opened the fridge wondering, what do you put in sandwiches?

Mixi heard the vampires mental question even though it wasn't directed at anyone. She answered anyways in a deep voice as to not be found. "Meat and cheeses go in between the bread or add vegetables like lettuce." She responded careful not to let her voice slip before she crawled out the slightly open window. She went below it and the spider dropped to the ground and headed towards the forest.
