In Whomp Block form, the hit didn't affect Kirby, but it was clear to Nate that they weren't going to make absorption an easy task. He released the form and launched an attack at the Ice Climbers.

Max bobbed her head in greeting to Raia, continuing her fight as Samus when she saw it...the glory of glories, the thing that could end this fast...the Smash Ball. Obviously, she had to go for it.

"Hasta la vista, baby~!" Max crowed, sending the Zero Cannon firing across the near entirety of the screen. She pitied anyone it hit. As it subsided, though, the armor fell away, having transformed into Zero Suit Samus.

"Chiiiii~!" complained the chibis as they sailed into the distance. Reviving, they immediately went after Samus, smashing into her with twin mallets.

Kirby had survived, but barely. Fortunately, as he recovered, he saw a Pokeball drop and grabbed it. Nate got a sinister look in his eye as Kirby threw the ball, opening it.

Samus went flying from the sudden mallet hit, recovering in midair and clinging to the edge for a moment with her laser-whip. She pulled herself up, just to get hit square in the face with a pokeball, flying off the edge of the screen.
"Dammit, Nate!" She grumbled, seeing the pokeball open...
