"....dude...I'm so sorry, Remy. But, doesn't the whole time paradox thing mean this won't happen?" Max asked, hopeful but not entirely sure. Any sort of comfort against what she was seeing in these...Remy looked, well, not like himself anymore.

Remy sighed, kissing her wrists. "Yeah..." he said quietly. He hadn't mentioned that he hadn't seen her in those memories at all, and that was a daunting ambiguity.

Laimu was downstairs in his usual chair by the fireplace, sketching something. He'd been trying to remember that glint in Kristen's arm... Materia. It had sounded familiar the first time he heard it, but he still couldn't quite place from where... But he sketched her arm roughly and the glint, the way it would flash for an instant.

Max rested against him silently, frowning at the pictures...she wasn't in them, but then again, she wasn't sure she'd do well in a post-apocalyptic setting like those. Regardless, it probably wasn't comforting to Remy, having as long of a lifespan as he would.
As long as he doesn't turn into Angeles...
Kristen walked downstairs, spying Laimu in his usual spot. She didn't want to disturb him, but she was curious as to what he was doing...

"Wow...artwork seems to be quite the trend around here. That actually looks really beautiful, Laimu." She looked it over, tracing the line with her fingertip and putting her free arm into the same position. "See? It lines up well!"

"In all honesty, I am finding my down time a little dull...yes, I am relaxed, but the Inn has been nearly deserted. It gets lonely without the conversation and antics." Kristen sighed, looking at the half-drunk mugs in the corner.
