"I am glad Sosol took care of you before leaving. I am cooking beef stroganoff over pasta. I hope you'll like it." said the innkeeper.
The child for sure was shy, yet she was standing with her in the kitchen without hiding.
"When did you arrive at the Inn?" asked the woman casually as she put the pasta in the boiling water.

"I'm sure I will," Violet answered. "I arrived...I want to say two weeks ago, but I'm not good at keeping track of time. Perhaps it was longer...?" She trailed off into thought for a moment, shaking herself out of it.

She tasted the pasta and the meat sauce.
"Ready!"
She cautiously took the noodles out then put everything in a giant service bowl.
"Food time!" she called.
"Oh Gren, could you bring some silverware out please?" she asked as she brought the bowl to the main room.

Violet walked out and waited for the silverware, enjoying Zulma's company. She was the innkeeper...the founder, she assumed. It made sense.

Zulma smiled both at the man and the child. Life sometimes seemed so simple.
Once the plates and silverware arrived, she served everyone.
"Enjoy!" She sat and took a plate for herself. She was starving!

"Thank you, Zulma," Violet nodded, taking a bite...her home had always done with with cubes, but it was just as good ground. The noodles were definitely a good call.
"Gren...when they dispatch her...do you believe they'll find a way to--" she stopped, not wanting to worry Zulma, and looked down at her choker. As long as she wore it, she was fearful of the cult and their demonic leader.

Gren enkoyed a bite with an appreciative hum. It'd been too long...there was something about Zulma's touch that made a meal right. Tilting his head to Violet's question, he nodded with a small smile, sipping his water. "Ah...yes, I do."
