"...it musta been bad, if you came back lookin' like that..." Max frowned, looking to the others as they discussed.

Violet sighed, leaving a drawing half-complete as she walked over to Jeff and Stella, tapping her choker lightly.

"The one and only...and here's exhibit A now," she said, gesturing to Violet's display. To Charlotte's question, she looked over to her. "And what if the transformation triggers it, Charlotte? I'm looking for the safest route. Melting it as ice would certainly work, but I fear for the side effects."

Sosol shuddered, offering Remy an old rag to clean himself off.

Jeff let out a sigh but that did not mean he would give up. On the contrary.
He turned to Violet. He had not notice the necklace on her before.
The young man stood up and leaned until his face was barely inches away from the necklace. He sniffed at it.
Then he stepped back, a puzzled look on his face.
He looked at Stella.

"I believe that one is...both."

He passed a hand in his hair which fell back exactly where it previously was.

"I learned that natural cursed artifacts have a sour scent, as if rotting from the insides, while cast cursed artifacts smell sweet and tasty, almost enticing. That one...that one seems to smell both."

"Human enough...just with a very large amount of power that I work hard to be responsible with." she said calmly. "And, there's rules to it besides, so I can't just go and blip any old thing into being...anyway, I'm rambling. It's prolly better to solve it the right way, because I can't tell you what exactly would happen if I tried it."

'Hey, it wasn't what I had in mind..." he chuckled. "I'll give the fangs a brush before I try kissing you, but I'm doing a lot better."

"Would it? Usually that's not the case, but, hey, I can't smell curses...maybe the bond is like that." she nodded. "There ya go. Nevermind me. Bad ideas r' us here."

Charlotte patted Violet's shoulder. "Calm, Violet! There is all kinds of things to be done about this. Just because we can't fine the answer easily doesn't mean we can't find one at all!" she smiled happily.

Adam listened to all of this with clear interest. He'd never heard of anything like these subjects. Certainly, the outside world was fascinating. He'd have to ask if he could visit again.

Howard sipped the remainder of the tea he had received earlier, though it had cooled down considerably. In fact, it was practically cold tea. Which wasn't horrible, but he usually liked his tea scalding. But the chef drank the remainder of his, walking quietly over to the kitchen to clean his dishes and returning to try a quiet seat next to... What was his name? It began with an L or something... Tallest guy he'd ever seen too. Almost as tall as he was standing even while he sat by the fire.

"Eh... 'sup?""Hey."

What was that? A speaker?

"Uhm..."

He took a seat across from him.

"So, uh..."

"Yep."

Man... He was developing a talent for these awkward silences.

Their expressions were about the same: Mismatched confusion/Surprise at a new face. They each pointed to themselves and spoke their names.

"Laimu Larocque."

"Howard, Howard Llars."
