Gren descended the staircase, yawning slightly to himself, having taken a rather long time to leave his bed. 'It's like they make those things to get comfier every day...' he thought to himself, popping his back slightly.

"Good mooooorning, Charlotte. Cheerful as ever?"
"The world falls apart when I'm not!" she laughed. "Friendly as ever?"

Azana strolled downstairs, holding a letter in hand and reading it over. She had almost forgotten about it, but it was a good thing she picked it up when she did; she only had two weeks to pack and practice.
After a loud pop outside the open window, James walked in with a beaming smile. "Hello!"

"I've been drafted...well, it's technically an invitation, but it might as well be. I'll be heading out of town in a couple weeks for a while...and it looks like I'm taking a few people with me," Azana answered, glancing down at the names. Her husband, James, Stella...and, surprisingly, Terry, too.
"You're just getting to that?" James asked in surprise, waving back to Charlotte. "It's an international competition and conference between metaphysical bureaus, kind of like the Olympics crossed with the UN. The GMO might be pretty big, but we're not the only one in the world..."

"In some aspects, yes, especially with the educational arm of our mission," James nodded, rather liking the parallel. "The other half is more regulatory, keeping damage to a minimum and trying to prevent exploitation for military gain."
"Uphill battle," Azana rolled her eyes but smiled. "According to this, just after Easter. I've only seen this thing once...and now, I believe I'm competing. No pressure or anything."
"We've got a lot to prove...this is the first one after our little change in management."

"You've all connected well enough to work in harmony, so long as people don't let their personal feelings get in the clutch, if that's ever gonna be an issue."
"Eh, the military...they're only a problem as long as they've got bullets." he smiled. "They can't catch ya...It'll be fine. Who's goin' on this road trip?"
