[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Pure Moriko]

Moriko perked up her ears. "Music?" she thought as she listened in on their conversation. She paid attention to what the two men were doing. Eager to hear what they had to play. She could play a bit too, but she preferred to listen. Especially when it was her sister playing the ocarina.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"If you want, you might as well. It doesn't look like anyone's watching, anyhow, though I doubt what's stopping you is shyness." He chuckled politely.  

[MacPere]

MacPere shook his head and beamed. "Nah, I doubt you need the likes of me laid out on the piano before you to be one of the last things you see before bed."  

[Gren_Eckener]

Smirking, he replied "Well, now, I wouldn't say that..."

He then began to play, softly at first, then into a louder tone, leading into the introduction and MacPere's cue.  

[Pure Moriko]

Moriko heard the black-haired man play on the piano. His touch was gentle but firm, giving the notes a rich tone even when soft. She leaned in expectantly when they gradually crescendoed.
Then she heard the tailed man's voice. Crystal clear, flawlessly flowing with the flow of the piano. The song was originally sung by a girl, but it seemed to be for him especially, even though he sounded far from being a girl.
She could tell from their synchronization that these two were very good friends, that they knew each other very well.
She sort of envied them.  

[MacPere]

MacPere couldn't help but splutter a little and smirk back, biting his lip and almost missing his cue.

"It won't do... to dream of caramel, to think of cinnamon and long for you~"

He adjusted in the stool and closed his eyes, swaying along to the rhythm.

"It won't do... to stir a deep desire, to fan a hidden fire, that can never burn true..."  

[Gren_Eckener]

(Heh heh...got him good...) Gren smiled as he continued. It was a nice song, ideal for such an hour of the night when so few were about. he wouldn't have minded more in th audience, but they did tend to get rowdy.

Fingers dancing over the keys, feet deftly shifting pedals, Gren swayed slightly with the piano. It'd seen better days, but had been well cared for enough to have a richer tone than a newer model. This was a piano with character, and he was going to be certain it was played for all its worth.  

[Pure Moriko]

Moriko closed her eyes, and let herself sink into the deep, fluid rhythms of the music. Almost as if she were swimming in caramel.
Upon hearing the music, Tatsu and Arachne also decided to listen to the music. They climbed up the piano, well Tatsu more like flew, and rested on the cover, careful not to touch any of the strings. Tatsu contented himself by settling himself on the top of the piano's cover, but Arachne, being more adventurous, scuttled over to the edge and looked down at the black-haired man's hands as they moved fluidly across the keys.  

[Gren_Eckener]

Gren spotted a spider hovering over his hands and a dragon curled atop the piano's lid. He wasn't particularly frightened of either one and continued, but kept himself ready in case he'd have to make a fast move while playing.  

[MacPere]

MacPere opened one eye to watch the musician's smiling face, narrowing it slightly before closing it, undetected.

"I know your name... I know your skin... I know the way these things begin...

But I don't know... how I would live with myself, what I'd forgive of myself if you don't go~"  

[Gren_Eckener]

(OOC: 'Smug'? Whoops. Totally not what I meant.... gonk Sorry about that!)

Gren played on, making sure to keep in time without slowing down. Piano wasn't always his strong suit. No amount of competence in a craft can counter an off-night.  

[MacPere]

(Aw, I'll change it then~ Don't apologise, silly~)

"So goodbye... sweet appetite, no single bite could satisfy...

I know your name... I know your skin... I know the way these things begin;

But I don't know... how I would live with myself, what I would give of myself if you don't go..."

MacPere stood and sighed as he approached the final verse, leaning forwards and resting his forearms upon the piano.

"It won't do... to dream of caramel, to think of cinnamon... and long for... you..."  

[Pure Moriko]

Moriko noticed that the music had very slightly changed. It really wasn't anything, but Moriko's sharp ears noted that the pianist seemed to be on slightly on alert. She opened one eye and noted that Tatsu and Arachne were on the piano. "Wait," her eye flipped open immediately, "Arachne?!" she thought, "Oh no." She remembered how Arachne would often jump onto the piano or violin or whatever musical instrument was playing when she got bored of a slow song. She put that look on her face, hoping it would stop Arachne.

(Thank you...He's enjoying the Flirtation Game, is all. I hadn't meant to make that unclear.)  

[Pure Moriko]

Arachne thought, "This song is boring.... Time to liven it up!" and prepared to jump onto the piano keys. Tatsu noticed, and emitted a low growl, warning her not to. In response, Arachne just shook her bright abdomen. Pissed, but holding it in, Tatsu nodded over to Moriko, "Look there," he growled quietly. Arachne looked over and decided not to jump. Moriko had her angry-face on, and Arachne knew by now that it was best not to anger her when she had that face, even her sister feared it. Arachne immediately settled back down on the piano cover, daring not to jump.
