Combat Arena

[ITADAKIMASU NOM NOM]

Oooh, man, this is getting exciting! GET 'IM LEX! WHOOO! BLACK DRAGONS RAAAAAWK! YAAAAH!!!!

Lex growled, "Yes...we shall finish this now." Her dragon form grew bigger, making her a more powerful dragon. This was taking a lot of energy and she knew that after the fight, wether she won or not, she would have to rest for a looong time. She reached deep within this dragon form and pulled up the ancient magic that went with it. She closed her eyes and ingulfed her body in flames. She flew straight at Neoxis, also releasing a blast of fire, way bigger than the last one. Her claws outstreached, Neoxis would be hit with two different types of fire, and the bute mass of her inlarged body.

Neoxis let out a mighty roar from his hybrid body and uttered the final spell. A gaping dark purple hole appeared behind Neoxis as an obsidian color dragon stepped out of the vortex. The dragon stepped toward Neoxis and he noddded. A bright light appeared as Neoxis and the dragon merged. The merge caused Neoxis' hair, armor, and wings to turn black. A long sword with a black hilt appeared im his hand. Neoxis let out an even bigger roar from his body, and charged towards Lex.

Neoxis flew around the blast and appeared above Lex. He sliced downward with the dull side of his sword and knocked her out to the otherside of the arena while the sword absorbed the fire. HE appeared where she would land and knocked her into the ground with a massive blast of wind. Once again he appeared above her and slammed her farther into the ground, createing a huge crater. Neoxis was almost sure he herd something crack and then backed off. "this match is over" he announced, looking at lex's body. He split back into himself and the black dragon and then it went back into the vortex. Finally he encased Lex in a healing bubble, uttered "good duel" then fainted at the side of the arena.

Lex slowly, painfully shifted back to her tiger state still lying on the ground. She growled, "I will heal on my own, thank you," at Neoxis and he realsed the healing bubble. She got to her feet, bloody, and with her last strength, jumped up to the stands and laid down, panting.

((Great fight, very exciting.))
Ankaara flew down from her seat in the stadium, calling:
"Lady Shaydra, I believe that it is time for our next skirmish. I have been waiting for a while for you to come and duel. One on one, I believe!" She chuckled and did a backflip into the arena, which was still warm from Lex and Neoxis' last battle. She still carried that gnarled wood scepter as she stood on the ground.

Shaydra grinned. She stood up quickly, and not bothering to open her wings, she tumbled to the arena floor roughly. Grabbing Neoxis by the neck scales, she hauled him up onto a ledge.
She stooped down and drew something on the arena floor. She then stood up straight without tapping her drawing, and it remained still. "Your move first this time, Lady Ankaara," she called out.  

[ITADAKIMASU NOM NOM]

"Thank you, Lady Shaydra." Ankaara grinned. She tapped her cane on the ground, and her clan dragons arose from the shadows once more. At Ankaara's signal, they started chucking shadowballs at Shaydra, but THAT was only a distraction. As her dragons flung away, Ankaara stood at the back of the arena, drawing energy from the shadows. Her dragons disappeared with a tap of her cane. "I'm ready for ya!" She shouted.

Shaydra dodged the shadowballs, aware that this was a diversion. Ankaara was too powerful just to be content with chucking shadowballs. She shouted back, "Oh, really?" and ran to her drawing on the arena floor, tapping the sketch twice.
Yellow fiery bright lines spread across the arena. The lines joined and parted and circled each other until both Shaydra and Ankaara were standing in a giant yellow pentacle.
Shaydra leapt to the very center of the alchemical circle and tapped the centerline twice with her pencil before Ankaara could react.
Great blinding beams of light enveloped the entire arena, stands and all, singeing the closest people. They sliced across Ankaara's gathered shadows, fading them into oblivion.
The light cleared. Shaydra and Ankaara were both charred badly, though the burn had not penetrated their scales. Shaydra's scales shed dull ash as she shouted a spell and leaped outside the pentacle.
Ankaara was drawn to the center of the alchemical circle and trapped within, surrounded by pure walls of light that circled her.

"Do you really think that your little star shaped bug zapper can hold ME, The Princess Of Shadows? Ha!" Shadows flew down from the sky and blotted out the light so that Ankaara could step out of the circle. Although badly burned, she stood up straight and ran towards Shaydra. She slashed a deep wound in Shaydra's shoulder, and flew back to her side. "Bring it!" She said, and smiled malevolently.

Blood seeped down Shaydra's right wing thickly. The wound had been very deep. She staggered back, her eyes flickering from brown to black. Then she controlled herself and drew a long sash of cloth in the air and brought it to life. She clumsily wrapped it around her shoulder, stemming the blood.
Shaydra then drew something else and tapped it twice. She caught the pair of sunglasses and snapped them on. "Cool, eh?"
Grinning at Ankaara, she stooped down and tapped the pentacle still inscribed on the arena floor, whispering a spell.
A giant wall of light blasted in the center of the arena, blinding everybody but one. Shaydra, protected by her sunglasses, sprinted through the light to the dazed Ankaara on the other side. She brought her paw down, slicing two symmetrical wounds on Ankaara's wing base so she could not fly. Then Shaydra lofted into the air, waiting for the light to fade.

"Oh really? Playing with that silly star of yours again? Pah." She smiled, and uttered a spell. The torrent of light instantly stopped. Ankaara instantly reappeared, now with a very nice suntan. The pentagram disappeared. A small, shrill sound started to emanate from Ankaara's gaping jaws. It grew steadily louder with every second that passed. A very small, round, blue ball that grew with the developing sound. Very suddenly, the soft sound had grown into a terrible ear-splitting, migraine-inducing shriek. Shaydra covered her ears to attempt to block out the horrible noise, but in vain. Still the sound and light grew. The ball of light then exploded, causing a seriously HUGE sonic boom that sent Shaydra flying, as helpless as a newborn kitten, smack into the arena wall. She hit it so hard that it made a small earthquake. "Bring it!!" She shouted gleefully.

Shards of earth rained down around Shaydra as she slid down the to the arena floor, a smear of blood trailing behind her. Her shoulder wound had reopened, and blood was now coating her wing.
Shaydra growled. It hurt. Then she noticed she couldn't hear her growl. She could feel her scales vibrate with the sound, but she couldn't hear it. Her eardrums were shattered.
She struggled up, favoring her right wing. Quickly Shaydra summoned some water, washing off the blood. Some of it had congealed over her shoulder, stemming blood flow, and she left that.
Then she formed the water into an elemental, which surged toward Ankaara. The water froze into ice shards and thudded into Ankaara in various places.
It wasn't a very impressive attack, but Shaydra couldn't move well without pain lacing up her wing. She crouched, waiting for the next assault, troubled that she couldn't hear anything at all.  

[ITADAKIMASU NOM NOM]

"Oof." Mumbled Ankaara as the ice crashed into her. "I'm sorry 'bout the ear thing, so lemme just..." She shot a bolt of bright green lightning at Shaydra. She braced, waiting for the pain, but it never came. She was actually feeling...better. Ankaara smiled and chuckled. Shaydra's ears were fixed! "I reeeeally don't like when that happens. Here, let me get me getcha something..." She summoned a fruit basket out of the shadows and put it on the side of the arena. "For you, when we finish." She smiled. "Sorry for all the troubles. Now, witness my finishing move!" She cackled as she rose into the air, hovering a few feet above the arena. The shadows rose from the floor and circled around her. She cackled as the shadows spun faster and faster until they were just a black blur, finally descending to the arena floor. They disappeared. There stood, in her place, an odd creature with sea-green skin with no scales, slitted red eyes, a black-and-red striped robe, black claws, razor-sharp teeth, a broken antennae, and dog legs."How do you like me now?" She laughed an evil cackle. "In this form, I am part werewolf AND I have mad guitar skills! Check it out!" She howled a bone-chilling howl. A guitar fell from the sky and landed in her hands. She strummed the strings. Shaydra stood bolt-upright, hypnotized by its sound. "It makes you obey the song it plays. Your move!"

Shaydra narrowed her eyes. She did not like being controlled. "The final move already?" she called out to Ankaara. "That was a very short fight." She pondered on her attacks and chose one.
Whipping out her pencil, she stabbed herself in the wing. A crimson drop of blood oozed out and trembled on the pencil point. Shaydra blew silver fire onto it and inhaled the smoke.
Suddenly she exploded in a flash of silver light. When the arena dimmed, something different stood in Shaydra's place.
This creature had no scales, skin, fur, or any distinctive feature. Shaydra had become a shimmering silver anthropomorphic dragon hybrid, twice Shaydra's original size and very bright and slender. This was as close to Shaydra's pure form as she could get.
Her pupiless eyes roved over the arena and came to a rest on Ankaara. Just looking into the creature's eyes made you flinch.
She crouched, and suddenly, silver fire flared all over her form. She crouched, waiting.
