Karen began to blush slightly as Aeris silently gazed at her, though she wasn't sure why. Maybe it was the way those lovely deep purple eyes stared at her; the girl was very beautiful and her eyes were one of her most enchanting features. She appeared to be deep in thought, which seemed a little strange to Karen considering her suggestion of finding Lyn was very simple and only needed a yes or no answer. When Aeris finally responded Karen snapped out of her own thoughts and beamed at her. "That's great! Let's hurry so we can go back to Sena, she must be lonely."

Cosette neighed at Karen and nudged her before galloping off hurriedly in some random direction. "She must have picked up Lyn's scent. Or probably Tiger's... Anyway, let's go before we lose her!" Karen grabbed Aeris's hand before taking off at a run in the direction Cosette trotted off in.

Liam smiled down at his day dreaming brother and tugged on his ear to get his attention. "Why so spacey, lil bro? Stil thinking about your very own Mudkip?"

"Ack!" Teddy hated having his ear pulled, "Quit that!" Teddy squirmed away. "You just wait, big bro'! I'm gonna be the best pokemon trainer there is! I'll be even better than you! No offense LBG."

Liam chuckled at his brother's reaction and let go of his ear. He smirked at the little boy who made such big promises. LBG gave Teddy a thumbs up and babbled in his own little Squirtle language, saying that it was okay but he knew that he would still be a better Pokemon than any of Teddy's would ever be and that he would be even better looking than them too. "Of course you will. Well, there's no point just sitting around here til the Prof gets back since he's already promised you first choice, hasn't he? Wanna try your hand at training Pokemon, lil bro? You could use the practice before you get one of your own. I'll even let you use the Little Blue Guy."  

[Fade_the_Pyro]

Aeris pretended she didn't see the blush spreading across Karen's face. She really didn't want to know why that was happening.

"Yes." She said. "Let's find-" Her sentence was cut off as the exuberant redhead clutched her fingers in what felt to Aeris as a death grip and yanked her arm out of it's socket as she ran off after her fleeing Pokemon. Aeris wasn't used to running, and as a living human she'd been highly asthmatic. She'd never liked running, and always floated everywhere now that she was dead. Or walked.

So, she didn't feel weird in the least when she tripped over her shoe and fell flat on her face. Embarrassed, but not weird.

Karen gasped as she whirled around to see Aeris fall. She ignored Cosette who was still galloping away and expecting her trainer to still be following her as the fiery haired girl kneeled down beside Aeris. "Aeris, are you okay?! I'm so so sooo sorry! I didn't mean to make you fall down. I just... oooh, I'm so sorry! I have such a bad habit of being a touchy-feely person, I just don't realize it anymore when I do something I shouldn't, and I shouldn't have grabbed you and pulled you like that. I'm so sorry! Oh, I should stop apologizing and help you up! You're not hurt, are you? Here, take my hand." Karen stood up and stretched out a hand for Aeris to hold on to.

Meanwhile, Cosette continued to weave her way through the forest, galloping further and further away from the girls as she finally arrived at where Lyn was. She gave a gentle nudge to Tiger and then another to Lyn. Not hearing any voices greeting Lyn happily as her trainer usually would, Cosette turned around to find neither of the girls behind her. She was puzzled for a moment since she knew Karen could typically keep up with her, but not worried in the least. She knew her friend was in good hands with that dark haired one. Instead of turning back to look for them she explained to Tiger that Karen was looking for Lyn to tell her that she wouldn't be training after all and that she would meet up with Lyn later in the city. She hoped that Tiger would be able to convey the message to Lyn somehow. And as for Karen... Cosette turned around and looked out into the forest. There was still no sight of her. She'd have to try to pick up her scent.  

[Fade_the_Pyro]

Her constant stream of chatter confused Aeris for a second, and she really didn't quite know which thing to respond to first. She stared at the hand offered to her and took it, brushing the dirt from her clothes.

That's the second time she's taken you to the ground. Maybe next time it will....be a better experience.

Aeris frowned. How can falling down be a good experience at all?

Well... His laughter reverberated in her mind, and her eyebrow twitched. Damn Han and his confusing hints...She hated it when she didn't understand something...

"I'm alright..." She said, staring hard at Karen. "How can falling down be a good experience?" She asked aloud, Han's laughter peeling out harder in her head. "Han says...oh, nevermind. Cosette is gone..."

Karen smiled happily at Aeris and giggled in relief, giving Aeris's hand a soft squeeze before letting go of it. "I'm so glad you're alright! Hm... falling being a good experience?" Karen really had to think about this question. It puzzled her too until she finally thought of a reasonable answer. "Well... if you fall onto a bunch of pillows it could be a good experience. Oooh, or onto a bed! Beds are so comfortable, why wouldn't it be fun to fall onto one?" Karen giggled innocently, not realizing at all that she had hit the mark... just not quite in the way Han was implying.

She turned in the direction that Cosette had run off in. "Hm, she really is gone. Well, no worries, I'm sure she'll let Tiger and Lyn know what we wanted to tell Lyn. Now she'll either come back to us if she picks up my scent or she'll stay with Lyn and meet up with us at the city. Would you like to wait around for her to return or should we head back? Or do you want to look for her?"  

[Semu Namu]

Sena wandered about the pokemon center, after finally finding it. She healed Arcanine and Dux, and wrapped herself in a blanket on one of the center's sofas. Arcanine lay near her, the firey dog keeping his owner warm. They all rested contentedly, Dux conversing with Arcanine learning all about his new life.

Lyn was in staring at her egg when Cosette nudged her. "Oh, hey Cosette." Lyn smiled as she greeted the Ponyta, "Where's Karen?" Lyn looked around, unable to understand why her bubbly friend hadn't pounced her greetings yet. Tiger knew why, though. Unfortunately, he wasn't one for pantomime and Lyn still hadn't figured out how to speak Growlithe, a very annoying fact for Tiger. Mr. Worm, who also listen to Cosette, decided he had to act. Shortly after that decision, he made a new decision that it was time for him to take a nap. "Well...maybe we should go look for them, come on Tiger."

Teddy looked at the Squirtle. Due to the thumbs up, Teddy assumed that whatever LBG was saying must be very positive, so he picked up the Squirtle and gave him a hug. "Aww, thanks for believing in me, LBG. Maybe you can ask my brother to give you a more fitting name, unless you want to be little forever." Teddy smiled at his brother and then frowned, "No...I've got to wait. Betty Sue also wants a Mudkip, and she has connection with the Gym Leader in Dewford."  

[Fade_the_Pyro]

"Hm...I suppose...although as you know I don't really lay down much.." She looked around for any sign of the Ponyta as Han's laughter once again burst into her head.

What do you know. You're both idiots!

Don't call Karen...or me an idiot. She responded, before turning to the redhead.

"I don't want to separate you from your companion...Lyn or your Pokemon...but I feel terribly guilty to have abandoned Sena without a word, and would very much like to return to her."

Don't make her jealous, now.

Why would that make her jealous? And why would she be jealous in the first place?

Idiot.  

[Michiru Tendo]

Karen nodded and stared at her with a serious expression. "Yeah, I guess so... maybe Han was just joking?" Karen hesitated before nodding again at Aeris's decision and smiled politely. She had secretly hoped that Aeris would have suggested one of the other two options. Karen felt a large part of her was missing whenever her and her Ponyta were seperated, which was a very rare occurence. She wanted to be reunited with Cosette as soon as possible, but she still felt guilty about leaving Aeris earlier. She would have to deal with Cosette being gone for now. "Alright then, let's get going."

Liam frowned at Teddy's comment. "LBG is a fine name. I mean, how big can that Blastoise evolution be? Especially since the Little Blue Guy is already so small." LBG smiled at Teddy and gave him a wink. "Nooo, LBG!! That's only for the ladies! I thought I told you that!" The Squirtle blinked up at his trainer and shyly nodded, feeling embarrassed by his mistake. Liam looked back to his little brother and nodded "Then I guess you should stay. But what's the gym of Dewford have to do with the Prof?"

Aeris had been dead for fifty years, and when that happens one tends to develop a sense of empathy.

"I changed my mind." She set off in the trees toward where Cosette had disappeared. "Let's find her." She was no fool. And it wasn't as though Cosette could reappear at Karen's side whenever like Han could.  

[Semu Namu]

Tsukasa happily retired to her sleeping quarters in the ship they were taking After such long days of beach vacation, she knew she had to get back to work. She opened her closet to put on some other clothes, when she touched something furry and yet squishy like rubber. A very grumpy Marril grumbled at Tsukasa, and yelled its name loudly in irritation. Tsukasa quickly released Scyther from his pokeball and commanded him to keep the blue blob from attacking her.

"Hey, wait! That's alright if you want to go back to Sena, we'll go! Why did you change your mind, anyway?" Karen hurried to catch up with Aeris and grabbed her sleeve before she couldn't go on without giving her an answer first.  

[Fade_the_Pyro]

"Because....I don't want to go into the city without company" She said. True enough. Shiny, glowing people look less suspicious with the company of unshiny, non-glowing people. "And I don't want you to suffer, either." Sometimes being empathic wasn't so fun, and though Karen tried to hide her pain, Aeris was no fool. For some reason, it hurt to see the redhead hurting more than it did with any other person she'd ever come across.
