"Nah...Stella's got enough on her plate with all the office work. In a couple of days, though, I can be sure you'll see fireworks out on the Plains..." Azana chuckled, though her expression turned a little sad...hadn't they found a way to cure that place yet?
"Speaking of which...she apparently found out the Knights are in Japan, helping with relief efforts," Sosol reported.
"Good to hear he doesn't have total tunnel vision," Tyler commented, arriving downstairs.

"Exactly...apparently our counterparts over there are spread very thin; they couldn't have had better timing." He nodded. "I just hope they're able to spare someone for the conference...they'd probably be able to get a lot more help if they simply asked."
Azana frowned...didn't Stella have a friend over there at some point? What was her name? "I hope so, too..."

"I look forward to it," Sosol smiled. Gren had a slightly unfair advantage, knowing their future through his history...but he really didn't mind. Seeing things in advance made for a double-edged sword, something only those who have done so could understand.
"I've got faith in 'em...they're one of the stronger groups, usually. Then again, their culture leaves a little more room for the metaphysical than others..." It was part of the reason she liked Gaia so much, though it also had its share of skeptics. Places like where James came from completely quashed talents...

"Ah, the baker's at work again?" Sosol asked, immediately heading for the kitchen. "That's always good news..."
"Speaking of cooks...I haven't seen much of Howard. I've been busy, sure, but he's been scarce. Now that I think about it, so has Xei...you don't think--"
"He's still around, Az." Tyler said, looking toward the kitchen and asking Sol to fix him a plate, too. "I bet he's just taking care of Albee...wherever the little guy wound up."

"Albee pulled a vanishing act during their game of Twister...where or why is anyone's guess. Considering he tends to do this, though, I'm hardly surprised Charlotte wasn't broken up about it. For a supposed couple, they're apart a bit too much." He wasn't one to talk as much, though it had been improving...
Sosol emerged with four plates with various amounts of cake on it. "I wasn't sure if you wanted one, too, Gren...I'm sure we'll find somewhere for it if you don't."
