"Well, milk and cookies are always available...well, when Nate doesn't eat them all," he laughed, glancing to the kitchen for a moment. "I simply meant transportation through fire...I haven't seen that before, and that's saying something, considering the odd sort we get through here."
"Thank you, Miss," Kristen bowed again, turning her attention to the forest. "Zippo, let us pay her a visit...perhaps we will find your friend Fee along the way." With that, she left the centaur to whatever it did when not conversing with others, on a mission to reach the tower.

The centauress began grazing, serene.
The path they chose was a winding and imprecise way, full of twists and knotted trees, bends and turns. A few insects in weskits scuttled past, clearly with an agenda.

"I'll keep it in mind to distance you from my sister," Sosol said. "I understand what you mean, though...I'm a member of a rather large group of people with bizarre capabilities. Thus the shades."
Kristen didn't expect it to be a straight path, but this was getting a little ridiculous. Regardless, she resisted the urge to blaze a trail...after all, if this was some variety of mental projection, a psychic slinging flames would be a catastrophic lapse in judgment. She'd simply have to be patient...and stubborn, like her sister-in-law.
Azana finally stumbled into the Inn, flopping into that large, comfy chair with which she had become very familiar on days like these. "...ungh...I think...I finally wore him out..."

Gren would return with Howard after being informed of the situation, the chef rushing to Albee and looking him over.
"Albee... Are you okay, Albee...?!"
THe boy groaned.
"I'm in the mood for chicken legs, Doctor..."
Howard frowned, going into the kitche and returning with a vat of apple juice.
"You're not drinking enough."

"Hello," Kristen answered, her eyes trying to follow the trio. "If you wish to speak to me, may we do so as we travel? I am in a bit of a hurry..."
"Welcome back," Sosol said to his wife, a large glass of ice water making its way to her. "Seems like you had a successful day..."
"That freaking slavedriver," she muttered, downing the ice water and wincing at the sudden temperature change in her mouth. "But yeah...kinda glad he's around, though."

Kristen blinked, having more trouble sorting them out than Garble. They were offering their guidance...which was tempting, but every fairy tale she was ever told warned her to never take it at face value. And within Charlotte's chaotic landscape here, even more so.
"I will let you guide me, so long as you can swear to me three times that you will not mislead me. I have no desire to spend my life wandering this forest with you."
"Well, you'll certainly be in better shape," Sosol nodded. "I won't complain."
"At least I'm not as sore anymore..."

Laimu sat in his chair as usual, now quite worried. He knew that Kristen had GMO busy-ness to deal with, but she at least got to come back to the Inn every once in a while.
