There was a vision held, a flashbulb memory. A chubby man with a familiar port wine stain stood atop a business building's roof in what felt like the early 1900's. Checking his pocket watch, he waited for the right second before sneezing into the wind. Grinning, he tucked his watch into his pocket and walked back inside. A few flashes revealed that this was the spark that began a massive flu epidemic.
The vision faded.
"See?"
"Funny."
"Consequences."

Kristen pulled her hand away, blinking a few moments as the images faded from her sight and she found herself back in the forest. "I suppose we have differing senses of humor," she answered quietly, fighting back the curious desire to see another. She had somewhere to be, after all.
It should not surprise me that her incarnations would differ...but triggering that. Was it something she had to do? Will she have to do that in this lifetime, as well? Is she sleeping to protect us...? So many questions...too many. She wanted answers, but the cost seemed too steep. She could live with the mystery. She pressed on, taking care not to touch the trees unless absolutely necessary to pass.

Felix froze in place, and obvious look of worry and slight fear on his face.
Dorian snarled down at fee and tried to tug him off. "Don't tell me you two are afraid of a little water!"
Felix backed off a step or two. "I've... had bad experiences with water..."

"Sanguine."
They flitted ahead, pointing out to a short path leading into a clearing.
"This way."
"That way."
"They went."
"We go too."
"Tower."
"Peaceful."
Fee shivered. The lost boy floated, nose and eyes bobbing above the water like a frog. He pointed down the river and began swimming.
"Dawai!"

Kristen nodded, following their direction. "They" likely meant Felix and whoever stepped up as his guide...and having a familiar face in here definitely would be a bit comforting, especially after some of the other visions she ended up experiencing. After all this, though...she was beginning to wonder whether Charlotte even wanted to be awakened...

Dorian huffed again, letting Fee dangle from his neckline and followed along.

They flew off, following the trail.
The boy swam like a fish with a wiggle, jumping and diving at times, stopping to tread water as they came upon a small sturdy wooden bridge. He got out on the other side and shook himself out.

Kristen broke out into a light jog behind them, not wanting to lose her guides in their fervor. It wouldn't take long at this rate to catch up to the others...
I hope Felix is alright...

Albee had downed the entire vat of apple juice, but the pain still refused to leave. He was only left a tad grumpier, with the full knowledge of over 5000 years of memory jammed inside his head. And Charlotte was still asleep. And he was still unsure of what to tell her.
Laimu was in about the same straits, save for any physical pain. It ached somehow to be apart for so long... And even apart from that, it made him feel like he was neglecting her somehow.

((Well. That was a long lunch... sweatdrop ))
Sosol checked in at the door one more time, seeing Felix approaching a bridge with Kristen closing in. X marked the spot, apparently, and the two were making decent time. "Good luck, Kristen..." he said quietly, not entirely sure what to tell Stella about her absence? Intensive training? A solo mission?
Either way, he could at least give some people comfort that she was doing well.
"Yes, I feel fine...I have much more mental stamina than most," Kristen answered them, though she had been pulled through physically. Maybe the fact that this was a mental projection gave her an advantage? Either that, or her training regimen did more than she thought.
Azana sat downstairs, happy to take a day off as Terry had other matters to attend to...her cousin, for starters. She was finally out of the office, and apparently in the mood to cut loose. Whatever made her happy...at least she got out of another night of soreness and soaking.

Zippo yawned. "Hangrii."

they said, fluttering above a black raspberry shrub.

Laimu took note of the Jacobs' wife, smiling. He could at least distract himself with some conversation in the Inn. Besides, there's was something that he had always thought of asking the Jacobs about...
He strode up to the brown-haired woman, smiling and waving.

"Hey, Laimu," Azana answered, a lot more conversational than the night before. "Don't get to talk to you much...what's up?"
"Go ahead, Zippo," Kristen said, gesturing for the bush. She wouldn't eat anything...well, not without letting the chibi try it first, at the very least.
Sosol walked down the hall, knowing he had been checking up on her a little too often...still, what kind of business was there in the middle of the week? He wasn't that necessary...though Laimu could have been waiting, for all he knew.

"Well, I don't really talk to anyone much, so I don't think that's a fair judgment."
He took a seat, not wanting her to strain her neck too much.
"And nothing much, unfortunately. Hoping Kristen will hurry back, been missing her lately... But besides that, picking up new hobbies and such."
