"One at a time, folks," Azana chuckled, sipping her tea. "For your question, Gren, the chibis were getting worried about Charlotte...she's been sleeping for days, and her room seems to be locked somehow. Sol couldn't enter, but Kristen found a way in, probably accidentally. On the bright side, the door seems to be keeping track of her progress, and she's not alone."

She shrugged, turning her attention to Laimu. "As for you, I've been getting my butt kicked preparing for a conference and tournament later this month...pretty big deal for the GMO this year, given the change in management. I'd never seen a Pentacle program before...and I can't help but think he's going easy on me..."

"Yes...Felix and little Fee-chan are friends of mine," Kristen answered with a nod, hoping that the larger of the two didn't find it too forward to say as much.

"Hm. I suppose I'd best have a look, then." he sighed, strolling upstairs to meet Sosol by the door. "This what's going on?"

"Good."
"We're going."
"When he's crossed."
"The elf is angry."
"Do you know him?"
"He has nice ears."
"But he complains."
"He doesn't belong in here."
"How'd he get in?"
"Nobody's sure."
"Not even him."
"Must be the trees."

He barked a crow's call, the faeries slowing their statements.

"Sorry."
"Apologies."
"Exciting."

Gren read the poem. "Do they have a piece of her mind?"

Husk looked to Felix.

"The cat man."
"He hates water."
"Didn't want to swim."

Zippo hopped out of Kristen's pocket and trotted across the bridge easily to meet the boy. Husk crouched, extending a hand, which Zippo hopped into. He held the chibi close to his face.

"Haiiiii!"

He repeated, in Zippo's exact voice and tone: "Haiiiii."

"To my knowledge, they don't have a lot of other people showing up, no, but I've never really heard of it being private, either. Besides, I'm sure they don't mind family and significant others, if you know what I mean." Azana smiled...Laimu wanted to watch if Kristen was in it. It was endearing...but she couldn't be sure they'd enter her in any events.

"Well, Felix isn't much of a surprise to me, given how close those two have grown, but--oh, no..." Sosol brought the palm of his hand up to his face. "She does...I doubt she even realized it until afterward...that explains it."

"Yes...he has had poor experiences related to water. I understand his hesitation," Kristen answered them before jumping slightly at the echo from the strange boy on the other side. Did he speak by what he learned from others? The calls of crows, the coos of doves...the strange English of the chibi?

"What does?"

"Yuu spiik Chibi?"

"Yuu spiik Chibi."

"Sutaapu caapii mii!"

"Su-taa-pu ka-pii mii."

Zippo chirped. Husk made a wheezy whistle noise. They seemed to converse for a moment.

"A raptor?"
"New friend."
"New language."

Laimu noticed her tension, unsure of where it came from.

"...Are you sure, then, that I may come? I don't want to be any trouble..."

"...you're right," he frowned. "Can't be that easy, can it? Hm...where would Kristen pick up a piece of Charlotte's mind? What would that even be?"

"O-oh...I, er, picked some of my own," she answered, holding up the small makeshift sack of berries. "Would you like to trade...?"

"Oh, I'm sure that won't be a problem..." Azana said. "It's just that Stella will probably be even more business than usual..."
