[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Gren_Eckener]

'All right. I'll have to repay you somehow...good luck." He watched her close the door and make her way to Durem. Such a gesture...

Murmuring to MacPere, he grinned "Oh, really? Then I suspect we'll have fun getting to that step too, hmm?"  

[MacPere]

"Oh, don't you know it~" MacPere withdrew the teaspoon from the brew and held the cup out to Gren with a smile. "Enjoy your tea~"  

[Gren_Eckener]

Gren eyed the tea, amused. "You didn't put anything in this, did you..?"  

[MacPere]

"Maaaybe a little something to you in the mood..." MacPere extended a hand to stroke Gren's cheek lightly before strolling to the piano and sitting at its stool.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Heh heh...that's more to your benefit, isn't it? I think it'd only be fair if you had a cup of it yourself..." Gren sipped the sweet mixture, leaving it black for the time being. He leaned back in his seat and looked, happy and expectant, to the immanent performance.  

[MacPere]

"Mm, well, perhaps..." MacPere struck up a slow tune, smirking devilishly and beginning to sing softly, smile never leaving his lips.

"You touch these tired eyes of mine, and map my face out line by line, and somehow growing old feels fine...

I listen close for I'm not smart, you wrap your thoughts in works of art and they're hanging on the walls of my heart..."

Gren smiled, touched. He had rarely been sung to, and being serenaded was a joy untold. He blushed despite himself.  

[MacPere]

MacPere looked up from the ivory and ebony, locking his eyes with Gren's and continuing, glancing back down every so often.

"I may not have the softest touch... I may not say the words as such... And though I may not look like much...

I'm yours~

And though my edges may be rough... And never feel I'm quite enough... It may not seem like very much...

But I'm yours..."

For just a moment, Gren wished that he was better at saying how he felt. He could only hope that his actions showed it enough, though he knew that saying it sometimes meant a lot more...He internally grumbled at his hang-ups.  

[MacPere]

"You heeled these scars over time... Embraced my soul, you loved my mind...

You're the only angel in my life...

The day news came, my best friend died, my knees went week and you saw me cry... Say I'm still the soldier in your eyes..."

Macere grimaced slightly at the memory of himself breaking down in front of Gren... It meant a lot to him, but he certainly doubted that he looked pretty whilst crying.

MacPere looked back to the piano and descended into an instrumental, swiftly dancing his fingers over the keys.

Gren smiled sadly. How was it that MacPere had found the very song that reflected his feeling? And singing it back, would that be all right? He'd sort it out later. He listened, eyes closed, embracing the sound.  

[MacPere]

Finishing the break of lyrics with a higher note, MacPere breathed out and sang softly once more, closing his eyes.

"... I may not have the softest touch... I may not say the words as such... I know I don't fit in that much...

He hesitated slightly, imagining Gren's thoughts on how cheesy this all was... He'd probably never see him the same.

"...But I'm yours..."

The song was ended with a gentle tinkle of the keys, MacPere lifting his head as the sound resonated through the room.

Gren clapped, happily. "Bravo! It was wonderful! I don't deserve things like this, ha haaa!"  

[MacPere]

MacPere blinked with a slight laugh, standing from the stool. "I do hope you are joking... You deserve a whole lot more, Gren..."

He approached the man and placed an arm around his back, giving him a firm hug whilst bringing their lips together. After a short amount of time he pulled back with a smirk, holding out another parcel. "Like this..."

"Nonsense...you're much better than I deserve, a nasty ol' convict like me..."

After the kiss he grinned, "Everything I could ever want is here. I won't get caught, if only for your sake...and another gift? You're spoiling me, you know..." He tied the scarf around his neck and beamed. "How do I look?"
