Sosol looked through the items, finding the tables sorted by price. A smile on his face at the thought of getting a gift for his wife, he immediately went to the third table of expensive items, sifting through it all.
"Did someone send you out here, Orrin...? Or was this just a pleasant surprise?"
"Actually...seeing Charlotte around the headquarters made me think of this place...and the people in it. You people seem to avoid the building...and by unfortunate proxy, my shop." Orrin frowned a little, almost seeming sad not to see them. "So I thought I would bring it along..."

"I see...she's single, you know," Sol teased with a chuckle, inspecting a circlet before setting it down. "Not sure she's really looking, though..."
"...as appealing as that may be, I couldn't keep up with her..." Orrin replied, that serene smile turning a bit wistful. "We're on two entirely different wavelengths..."

Max smiled...humor. Humor was good. It meant he still had his wits. "Dunno...sleepy dude sellin' stuff, far as I can tell. Like a giant garage sale...but the price tags look funny."
"He takes Karma," Sosol explained in brief, picking up a music box. "Why is this so expensive...?"
"It plays any song the holder wishes..." Orrin said. "Lullabies, old favorites...it's like the ultimate player."

"Oh, wow...!" Max beamed. "Ya mean ya can actually measure Karma?! Cool!"

"Yes...there is a more traditional method, but I will need you to remain calm while I take a karmic sample." Orrin said, standing and walking...no, almost gliding, to the vampire. "This will be enlightening for the both of us..."
He held a hand to Remy's breast, the faint glow signalling that it was working as he removed the heart-shaped crystal, eyes widening as he looked at it. "...it feels heavy." He marvelled, looking at the swirling clouds of colors. "Let us see what the scales say..."
"Oh! Oh! I go next!" Max beamed in excitement, eyes fixed on Remy's karma sample.
"I don't need to..." Orrin said, staring to pile Karma tokens on the other side of the scales. "Your balance is quite low."
"Whaaaaaaat? But why?!" Max said, honestly a bit nervous...hadn't she been working as a force of good for a long time?
"You spend yours on a regular basis...for the goods and services of others. Bartering favors and influence is not too far from my own system..." Orrin smiled. "It is no insult to your vibrant character, Miss Mouse."

"Hmmm....I'll look. There's a lotta stuff here!" Max cheered, sifting about for anything shiny or colorful that caught her eye.
