"I haven't either...I don't think we threw him out with the old stout...last I checked, the chibis weren't much into that," Sol answered with a shrug. "It's odd, too...he usually doesn't really stray from you."

She frowned. "Well, he has because he knows he's in trouble. He's stolen this noisemaker toy from somewhere, I dunno where, but it makes little pew-pew laser noses and will get really annoying really fast."
Gren pointed. "Try the kitchen?"

Shalmii walked downstairs, seeing a rather odd set of people, one of which she had never seen. "Okay... There's some drunk guy passed out on the ground... Um... what should I do with him?"

Shalmii moved the man to a somewhat safer position, and sat down. "Apparently I can't go to school. They said that I need an adult to say I can, and that they were about to go to vacation anyway." She spun her hammer like a top, making sure not to let it fall.
((Dinner soon, plus i need to work on a paper, so posting will be sporadic))

"You oughta be careful about strolling into a place like that yourself," Tyler warned, sitting at a table. "They find out you're on your own, and they'll try and put you in foster care. You never know where you'll end up."
"Ty, stop trying to scare her," Sol said flatly, looking to Shalmii. "I'm sure someone around here can vouch for you..."
"Yes, trying to scare her with the truth. A kid her age isn't supposed to be alone, and I don't think any of Fenyx's demon friends would qualify as good parents."

"I'd offer mine, but they're a bit on the old side," Sosol said, humming in thought...who could they use? He didn't know anything about Kristen's parents, or Max's...

Shalmii looked at all the questioning people. "Well, Raia did. Demons attacked our magic society when my real mom and dad died. But Raia was a nice demon and she hid us from the other demons. She took control of my body, and used a magic disguise to make it seem older like you guys. She then used me, without letting Eisiol know, to raise him up to be the crazy guy you see today. When Eisiol found out that she was inside me, even though I was perfectly safe, he paired up with Ayase and freed me." She then stood up. "What's odd is Raia taught me how stuff works in the world while she was inside me, so I know a lot of stuff, and I can take care of myself well too."

"And I thought my childhood was weird," Tyler quipped, brainstorming ideas and coming up surprisingly empty. Everyone capable wasn't available...or incredibly unwilling.
Ms. Andrews has probably had enough of magic hijinks, no one I know at the GMO is even close to ready for children, even as an act...ha! I must be going crazy to think of that...
"How would that be any different than her current situation, Gren?" Sosol asked, folding his arms. "What about boarding school? There's a lot less requirement for our false parents..."
