He shook his head, glaring from his upset. "I know that things die...how many Algernons do you think I've had? But, this, Enra...why's this thing coming after you? Does Enta know? Anyone else? This is terrible news!" he said, pleading.

His eyes widened slowly, not in surprise, but with a stern point that he'd not had to use in a long time. His voice jumped into a dark tone that was shockingly opposite of his former, clamping to Adam like chains to his ankles and wrists.
"You will not tell a soul. You will not even tell a rock what I've told you. Tell anyone or anything, and I will leave that same second."

Adam's mouth hung ajar, the man shivering in his seat in alarm. His breath was shallow, his terror clear. He swallowed hard.

Enra took a breath as he backed down, actually tired from having to be so forceful.

His eyes were wide and fearful as he began edging away slowly. "If...if it's not a big deal...then..." he started, shutting up quickly. "Nevermind, nevermind. F-forget it! Sorry!"

Enra was almost pitiful to look at now, his features sinking away in the same manner that he had begun to sink into his chair. He hadn't been truly mad in a while... Of course, that wasn't his truly truly mad state, but that was pretty close.
"...Guh. Great."
He yawned, getting up and stepping to the stairs to ascend.
"I'm sorry, Adam... myyawwww, I'm so... sorry..."
The apology was muffled as Enra fell asleep mid-step, his entire body collapsing as he fell from the first step. His body fell like a ragdoll, flopping his limbs this way and that as he lay on the floor, breathing softly as he lay unconscious.
(Urggghhhhaahhah. I need to go. *punches a bag* Just put him on the couch or something... *hugs* So sorry...)

Adam watched all of this warily, fear and bewilderment battling for prime emotion in his mind. He shakily took up Emi and held him, seeking comfort. "...What do...what do I do now?" he said in a breath between a whisper and a whimper.
Emi peered up at Adam, then chittered at Felix's door. A band of chibis poured out, hoisting up Enra and socking him away in Charlotte's spare purse. "Fiixit!" he chirped, looking up at Adam. "Yuukai?"
Adam shook his head, near tears. "No...I'm very frightened and sad, all at once."
Emi hugged him back. "Issokai, biigu ting! Hii weikaap suunu."
"...that's scary too, Emi." he said, carefully getting up and shuffling to the kitchen to make himself a hot cocoa.
(That's all right...he's going to wake up to some interesting things. :> Not War, but things.)

Zulma was calm as she cleaned up the kitchen. It had been a while since she did real cores around the Inn. On all four, she was scrubbing the floor while humming, her clothes wetter than they should be due to an earlier accident with a bucket of water.

Warily, Adam peered out from the top of the stairs, making sure Enra wasn't around before slinking down the stairs. The previous night had left him quite rattled, and the last thing he wanted was a repeat.

Zulma sang louder a song which she was most probably creating or maybe it was from her homeland.
"It makes the birds laugh....it makes the bees dance....lala....."
She passed her wrist across her forehead.
"My it's hot..."
Then went back to singing.

Adam slouched over, still holding a bored-looking Emi. "Good afternoon, Zulma...you're looking soggy today." he said with half a smile. "That's a lovely song you're singing."

Zulma turned her face, a little flush from the bending over and cleaning up.
"Oh...euh..." she felt a little embarrassed to be found in such position.
"Hi Adam." she answered him with a true smile.
"Thank you...this is just a silly song but I like it..."
Her tshirt was clinging to her skin and she obviously looked hot.
"How are you today?" she asked the man, taking a break from scrubbing but still on the floor.
