"Of course," Kristen nodded, leaving him to get his sketches together as she went down the halls toward Violet's room.
"Oh, most definitely...I tend to have a way of knowing who will turn out well. They're always my best customers." He looked at the coffee before standing up to get something of his own...
Violet walked for her door, her resolve strong. She would go to Orrin's room and retrieve her pencils and sketchbooks...she needed them, and he had no right to withhold them.

"Some folks are that obvious, huh?" he chuckled.
Remy sauntered downstairs. "What's up?"
"It's nothing major...come have a seat."

"A little...oh! Welcome, Remy," Orrin greeted, gesturing to a seat left empty. "This won't take long."
Kristen arrived at the door just in time to see Violet open it and jump back slightly in surprise. "Hello...Gren wants to see you downstairs."
"A-alright..." Violet slipped past Kristen, the coincidental timing throwing her train of thought off her missing supplies and that vague anxiety. She descended the stairs, Kristen close behind...almost too close, for her comfort.
"You wanted to see me...?"

"Hey, man! Hi, Violet!" said Remy, quite relaxed in his chair.
"Yes, if you don't mind." he said kindly, gesturing to a seat. "There's a bit of a mystery we're following; no big issue, but curious still...Do you mind discussing your latest drawings?"

"Those...? I'm not even sure about them," Violet shook her head. "I just...I had to draw. It felt like...like I'd burst if I didn't...and I couldn't stop...even when my arm started to hurt." She looked down at the table, avoiding eye contact with the pages.
"Why...? What did I do...?" She made a curious glance toward a page, letting out an inaudible gasp. "O-oh..."

"I see..."
Remy fanned some of his pages with a hum. "Seems we're sharing a wavelength."

Aravilui came down the stairs quietly, his hair back in a single thick plait. He heard what sounded like trouble and peeked out carefully. As usual, a bit of his hair had pulled a little loose and it formed a loop from the braid, covering his left eye. He did not wish to interrupt, but he had left his pack and cloak downstairs.

Gren nodded, waving slightly with a small smile to Ara. "Evening..."
Remy flipped a few fingers in salute, fangs poking through in the corner of his grin. "Hey!"

Aravilui blinked and smiled slightly, waving back. Then he noticed Remy's fangs and his eyes widened in fascination. Without thinking about it, he came down the stairs, looking at Remy's fangs and tilting his head to the side slightly. Then he blushed, realizing how rude he was being. "...Apologies, I did not mean to stare. Im Aravilui, I arrived last night."

Remy genially offered a hand, beaming. "Remy Legume, Aravilui, and it's a pleasure!" His eyes were bright red, ears pointed. He had every trait of a vampire, but seemed to lack the usual laconic regret most in his state seemed to carry. "When'd you arrive?"
"Last night."
"Oooh, no wonder, I was in all night..."

Aravilui chuckled. He had answered that question even before it was asked! He shook the man's hand, still fascinated by the fangs he was constantly getting a glimpse of as the man spoke.
"...I am not meaning to be rude, but I have no idea how else to ask this. What... are you? Those fangs are not anything I have seen before in a friendly face."

Remy grinned. "I'm a vampire, Ara...just not a grouchy one, I guess. You're an elf, right?"

Aravilui blinked at him, trying to translate that word into something he knew. "Sindarin, specifically, not that it really matters. Vampire? ...What does that mean? I can think of a word that seems to be the same, but... uh..."
He flushed. "It is a very unpleasant thing, and I cannot apply such a term to you. You are clearly too friendly."

"Yes, that!"
He smiled, shrugging sheepishly. "Ah, me...it's probably exactly what you're thinking of, actually. Undead beings that drink the blood of the living? Then you've got about the right idea...but I myself don't attack for my dinners, so you're safe."
Gren nodded confirmation. "He's the most relaxed vampire I've ever seen, really."
"Why fret about what is? Better to flow with it, man."

Aravilui laughed softly. "We have different ideas in mind, I assure you. My concept is even more unpleasant. It is a pleasure to meet you, Remy. Besides, I eat meat, and how is that horribly different? At least blood can be taken without killing, if you are somewhat careful."
