Combat Arena

[Lexadraxa]

Lex smirked, "No fair changing the weather Shaydra!!" She called from nowhere. She let herself drop to the floor, giving her more time to think. She had a thought and she flew up into the sky, higher than she was before. Quickly, before Shaydra would have time to attack, she gave three great flaps of her wings, sending the fog within 5 feet of her on all sides floating away. A tip of Shaydra's wing was revealed and Lex flew towards it with great speed, crashing into Shaydra sending both of them falling to the ground, hard

Shaydra was crushed under Lex's large figure. The winter staff had snapped in half, and all of the fog faded away. The sky remained a pale white pallor, and the air was still cold.
With all of her strength, Shaydra flung Lex off, groaning with the effort. She righted herself and winced. Her back legs still pained from the claw-crushing incident, and in addition to that, her tail was partially snapped off after Lex's paw had slammed down on it.
Shaydra quickly wrapped her tail in a clumsy but efficient splint. Her tail twitched feebly. Then she balled her claws into a fist, swung it, and appeared to throw something at Lex.
A small, white-hot burning star grew bigger instantly and whizzed toward Lex, making a faint whistling sound.

Lex was a bout to shift, but thought better after seeing the star. She wrapped her wings around her just in time and the star jsut hit the outside of her wings. It burned badly, but it was better than getting it in the face. She roared. She shifted into her biggest tiger form and raced at Shaydra, jumping and landing square on her, claws out, teeth bitting.

Shaydra wrestled Lex, dodging her heavy limbs and flaining claws as best as she could. She still was sliced in several places, and she felt her one of her wings strain against Lex's paw, almost snapping. Shaydra tucked it tight against her and rolled out from under Lex, ducking to avoid another slash.
She countered Lex's attack by breathing a silver-hot gush of fire at her, twisting out of the way as Lex turned around.

Lex, just in time, shifted shape to aviod being directly hit by the fire. Where the tiger was, stood a rat with badly singed fur. She raced up to Shaydra and jumped onto her leg, running all the way up her body to her head. On the way up she bit the dragon in many places, to let her get a tatse for what came next. When on top of the dragon's head, she jumped high and shifted in mid air to an elephant, falling to earth very quickly in this heavy form.

The silver, who had unfurled her wing to fly before Lex had turned into an elephant, felt a sickening crunch and a jarring pain. Lex had stepped on Shaydra's right wing, shattering some bones.
She stared up at the belly of the elephant, who had three feet placed on either side of Shaydra's body and the fourth one on her wing. Lex lifted that leg in reflex to the sound, and Shaydra rolled back over and out from under Lex's huge mass.
Luckily, she kept her mind under control. Shaydra sketched over her wing with her pencil, fixing it temporarily. There were some minor bones she hadn't fixed, but Shaydra could still fly without receiving major pain.
Then she retaliated by grappling onto Lex's leg, climbing up her grey hide until she was on her back. Then she opened her jaws wide and bit Lex hard at the base of the neck. If Shaydra's shearing teeth got deep enough, Lex would be paralyzed. Shaydra's long-ago dragon ancestors were African wyverns, who had hunted elephants this way on the African savannah.

Lex, in too mcuh intense pain to shift, fell to the ground on her knees. She then fell to her side and shifted to her tiger form, so still it looked like she was dead. Raging, and almost feral, she roared and shook Shaydra off, but every movement hurt badly. Her clawed paw shot out and caught the dragon in the face.

Shaydra's hard scales partially protected her, but even so, she felt one claw pop her cheek, scraping the teeth inside of her jaw. She jerked away quickly from Lex's flailing paws, but the pull of the jerk sheared a bigger hole in the side of her snout. She tumbled back over, landing nose down in the dirt. She struggled to get her head up.
Crimson blood pooled beneath her face. Shaydra's left cheek now had a strange, wide, gaping hole that showed several of her molars and the back of her bloodstained tongue.
Shaydra looked at Lex. The dragon bite dealt to her opponent greatly weakened her, but now she would feel no pain due to the severing of some nerves. But Lex could not go much longer with her wounds, or else they would be fatal.
"Alright," Shaydra spat out blood as she spoke to her opponent. "I think it's time for the final move." She staggered up into a crouching position. Then she gathered up all of the fire in her limbs and prepared for an attack, breathing in deeply in preparation to breathe silver flames out. She waited for Lex to recover.

Again, lex shifted into her dragon form. "Fire to fire.." she managed to mumble. Her body was in intense pain, and she was using almost all her strength to just stand up. She too gathered up fire, although hers was not silver. Her black scales glisened and her eyes flashed greatly. She was ready.

Shaydra couldn't restrain the fire anymore. She opened her maw and burning-hot silver flames poured out. The fire shot toward Lex and hit her full on, making her release her fire in reflex. Black and green fire collided with the silver, but silver triumphed. The shining blaze swirled around Lex's black wings, hot enough to melt her scales.
Shaydra had gone wild. She galloped after her fire, snarling a challenge, not caring that she was being burned by a combination of her own flames and Lex's. The silver dragon leaped high and barreled into her already weak opponent. She pinned Lex down, and as the fire cleared, she locked onto her opponent's eyes with her empty black ones.
Then as Lex looked ready to fall unconcious, Shaydra seemed to remember what she was doing. Her eyes flickered back to brown and she rolled off Lex. Her opponent lay there, looking dead.
Shaydra administered healing crystals to Lex's most serious wounds. Then she lay the rest of the gems near Lex's paws, so when she woke up, she could treat her various minor burns and slashes.
Then, with all of her toe claws missing, her tail and wing broken, a hole in her left cheek, and several other wounds, Shaydra limped over to a shadowy corner of the arena and passed out, exhausted from all of her recent fights.

((What, do you plan on killing me?! Good fight Shaydra!))

((Well, I wanted the fight to be good. And I did heal you. Good fight to you, too.))  

[Sigilos]

Sigilos woke up from his doze, coming awake from the loud sound as the fight finished.

*Are you all done yet? I'm starting to get bored, maybe I'll go for a swim.*

Shaydra regained conciousness just as Sigilos asked if they were done fighting. She struggled to sit up, then looked at the gold oddly. "A swim? This is a combat arena, isn't it?" she rasped, her words a little slurred from the hole in her cheek.
She took out her pencil and drew a feeble cloud of lead around her that thickened and surrounded Shaydra for several minutes before dispersing. Shaydra was now fully healed, but there were several new scars on her body from her recent fight.
She jumped, flapping her wings hard, and latched onto a ledge below Sigilos. She looked up at him. "What did you mean by a swim?"  

[ITADAKIMASU NOM NOM]

She stared at Sigilos inquiringly. "Sir Sigilos, care for a duel?" She smiled with a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.
