Having zoned out for the last while Elliot found that many things had changed. Almost everyone had left. Then she saw a sign. Breakfast? So... a day had passed... Oh well she would catch up on sleep later. As her stomach rumbled she took only a single waffle and pancake to save as many as possible for the others, after all she was still new here and went back to her table.
There was two people that she could see, having some type of conversation. Well she wasn't going to get anything done just sitting here. Having finished her breakfast she placed the dish gently in the sink and went over to them.
"Hello, 'm name is Elliot, Ell if you want. It's nice to meet you." Holding out her hand she nodded and smiled.

Jeff was eating more than his fair share and noticed another adolescent, younger looking, who also was eating, yet she seemed to restrain herself.
"Jeff." he answered to her without extending his hand which was sticky with honey. "You should eat more." he grunted and went back to his food. His face was clean, but his clothes were dusty and his blond hair messy.
"Jeeeeff...." called Zulma with a frown. "Those are no manners for a young man of your status!" she sighed.
Jeff answered with a dark look. "What do you know of my status...?" he mumbled to himself and Elliot who was closed probably heard, but Zulma did not.
Zulma was coming back from the kitchen with drinks.
"Good morning Elliot." she put the tray on the table, wiped her hand and shook the teenage girl's.
"Nice to meet you. I am Zulma, the Innkeeper. Have you had enough to eat? There is plenty! I probably cooked too much again! Do you care for something to drink? We have tea, coffee, juices...."
Zulma was smiling at the younger woman who seemed a little shy.

Laimu stepped downstairs, whistling to himself as he found one of his juggling balls next to the window, walking over and picking up. He then looked out the same window, smiling and remembering a past moment there with the golden-haired Innkeeper. He had no feelings in particular for her, although there was a throb inside to have talked to Kristen once or twice before he left, but he remembered a vibrance in her appearance and voice that made him smile.
"Mm~"

"Laimu! Mister Poet! Come here, food is ready and is getting cold by the minute!" Zulma waved at him from the other side of the room.
She stood up from her chair as he approached and put her hands on her hips as if not happy with him.
"Were you trying to snob us?" she frowned, with an obviously amused glow in her eyes. "You passed right by us without seen us!" Then she smiled.
"Would you join us?" she added with a softer voice.
Jeff did not even look at the poet. He did not care. He just wanted to eat.

Laimu had been so perturbed by the fact that he only had two balls, pardon the pun, that he'd been incessant in finding the third. But to think he'd lost sight of people. Perhaps he was losing his touch.
"N-No! I was just looking for..."
He held up the ball, pointing to it several times, about to say something in each instance, but with nothing to better the situation at hand in his head, as painful and grotesque as the saying went.
"Sorry. I'd love to eat with you."
The poet looked over at the other man, wondering why his blankness, but then realizing that in a house of the strange, blankness was a strangeness that was unstrange even to the strange... which by now, made sense to him for some strange reason.
"And what've you cooked up today?"

Zulma felt bad for having teased the poor man. She gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder as he sat.
"I'm glad you are joining us." she said softly.
"Soooo what do we have? hmmmm pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, then drinks..."
She was beaming to take care of the guests.
"Help yourself to food and tell me what do you want to drink?

Kristen walked into the main room from the stairs, smiling at Laimu's presence. The breakfast spread, however, took her by surprise. "O-oh...wow!" She gasped. Always more hospitality...how could any group of people be so nice...?

Zulma smiled at Kristen.
"Good morning-fternoon." she said brightly. "I prepared brunch!" she chuckled, seeing the time.
"Pancakes, waffles, help yourself."
She looked at the table. "I was about to refresh the drinks. What do you want? Tea, coffee, juices?"
She asked her while grabbing the different pots from the table.

"Goodness, Zulma...you really do like to keep yourself busy!" Kristen smiled, fixing herself a plate. "Tea would be fine with me...I know many in here tend to prefer it, regardless."

Zulma chuckled. "Indeed I do!"
She disappeared in the kitchen and came back with freshly brewed tea.
"Tea it is!" she beamed, pouring a cup to Kristen and one to herself.

Laughing at how much he reminded her of a school friend Elliot replied to Jeff. "You're right I should but I'm full anyways so oh well."
She shook hands with a woman named Zulma, she seemed rather nice."Oh no thank you, but are we allowed to go into the kitchen on our own?" Was what she asked, she didn't want to have to wait for someone of authority if she did get thirsty, or if she decided to bake for the others, if she ever got the supplies.
Watching Jeff just eat and eat she wondered if he ever got full... or how long it had been since he had last eaten. His name sounded familiar, but it was a rather common name so she pushed it away into a different space of mind.
"Anyone know of interesting places to visit near here?" She asked trying to not zone out of the conversations.

Zulma looked at Kristen. "Oh you know me, keeping busy. I am doing great though. How about you?"
As Elliott spoke back to Jeff, Zulma smiled slightly.
The adolescent raised an eyebrow at Elliott. Why would she say he was right and then not do it anyway?!
He stood up from the table, took his plate and glass and headed for the kitchen to clean them up. That new girl was strange...
Zulma looked at Elliott with a gentle smile.
"The kitchen is open to all, as long as you keep it clean after you've used it."
She scratched her head.
"Well we are a little in the middle of nowhere, but there is a pretty lake. You should ask Jeff to show you around, he knows the surrounding very well." the innkeeper offere with a smile.

The door opened and swiftly closed, the new figure hastily leaning against it in order to keep whatever was outside out. Gren wiped his brow with his handkerchief, dressed to the nines in an expensive and stylish suit, looking rather frazzled. "...Thank the stars that's over." he muttered woefully to Jean-Luke, who'd followed him in.
He looked up and spotted Zulma, giving her a smile despite his clear weariness. "Hello, beautiful...You been doing well?"

"I did see a lake earlier, it does look pretty, wonder what its like during winter... Oh and thank you for the awesome breakfast"
Taking note that she could use the kitchen she turned and saw Gren, dressed rather nicely followed by someone else she didn't yet know.
Zulma suggested she ask Jeff, though he seemed not to happy to talk to her earlier, maybe he was just hungry, it was worth a try. Looking around though she found he had gone into the kitchen, it could wait. While she waited for him to be finished doing whatever, she watched the conversation between Zulma, Gren and the other person.
