Ash chuckled at the three who were now tearing into the opened bag. "I like you guys." she said with a warm smile. She flicked a lock of hair over her shoulders and turnedback to Gren. "I'm doing spectacularly well. A couple of my adopted children may well be stopping by soon. Figured I'd warn you ahead of time." The exotic woman perched herself on the barstool like a bird and peered around the room. "Have I missed anything?"

Aravilui peeked out through the kitchen door and gaped slightly at the strange background through the door. Didn't he just come through there? And it did not open to... that. He blinked in confusion, then slipped back some. Oh dear, more new people. Maybe he could find something else to fix or something?
...But how did the door suddenly lead to somewhere else?

"Oops. Forgot to shut the door all the way." Ash said with a chuckle. She closed the front door, waited to hear a sound like air being sucked in, and then openedit again. This time, it opened to the outside. "Sorry about that, dear."
She turned back to the mysterious chip woman. "One might say that, I suppose. I never paused to consider the question before." she said with a shrug.

As if he had not been confused enough before! Aravilui moved over to the door and peeked out, then looked at her with his dark eyes narrowed in utter bewilderment. He looked at the door again, then huffed a sigh. "Dear Valar this place is never going to make any sense is it?"

"Nope. It likely won't." Ash responded cheerily. "Want some chips?" she asked as she pulled out the second bag of Doritoes and offering them to him. Ash herself could not eat any foods she did not catch herself. This meant that she could only enjoy watching others eat candies and the like. It was torture sometimes.

Aravilui huffed again, then turned. "Yes please, and thank you," he said, accepting the... chip bag. They were not things he recognized as chips, but then he did not often have potatoes in any case.
The bag gave him a moment's pause, but he just slit the top off with one of his knives to get it open. Then he lifted one out and tried it tentatively. Well, they were not bad exactly... he was not quite sure how he felt about them.

Orrin walked downstairs with a smile, taking a moment on the way down to adjust his hair clip. Seeing Charlotte downstairs was somewhat bittersweet; he was elated to see her again, but he had not as yet completed her challenge...
"Good evening," he greeted, refreshed from the long sleep.

A playful smile spreadon the woman's lips. She jumped down from the stool and turned into a bird in midair. As her body shrank and grew feathers, her clothing fell away. With a delighted chirp, she flew around the room once and landed on a chair's back.

Orrin grinned. "I'm well, though a bit disappointed I can't greet you with good news concerning your test." He shrugged slightly, never one to rush things, and directed his attention to the bird.
"Very impressive! And not the least bit disoriented by the change...you've been doing that for a while!"

The bird flew down and landed on the floor by the pile of clothing. In a flutter of wings and hair, Ash brought herself back to her human shape and dressed swiftly. She honestly didn't think that nudity was such an issue, but she knew it bothered others, so she tried to spend most of her human time clothed. "Couple hundred years, give or take a few thousand." The woman said. She was obviously bragging, but she had frankly earned the right to do so.

To Gren's introduction, Orrin gave a polite bow, brushing a stray lock or two out of the way when he came up from it. "A pleasure to meet a shapeshifter as yourself. Hmmm...I wonder if I have something that could help with your clothing difficulties.."
