"Whole team of them," Tyler replied, cleaning his glasses. "Call themselves the Millennium Knights...haven't seen much of them lately; I think they've been chasing a lead on their nemesis."
"We don't hafta own that Omega dude again, do we?" Max asked, folding her arms. "As much as I loved firin' missiles at those creeps, it took a good handful a us last time."
"He doesn't have the following he used to...but I can imagine he's trying to build it back up again...and yes, Charlotte, there are phone calls, e-mails...pretty much everything except face-to-face."
I hate to admit it...but thinking about Omega has me worried. If he comes back, Elizabeth could be in trouble...parts pipeline aside, my enemy's enemy...

Orrin nodded, taking a pair of Xs in the strings and shifting it into the next formation on his own fingertips.
"Hm? Certainly," Tyler answered, "but I feel I'd get in the way of investigations if I just pop in to, say, a crime scene."

"What, and actually be romantic?" He retorted sarcastically, really liking that idea. "I can give it a shot." He pulled off his gloves, shoving them in his bag. "Let's hope she actually comes home tonight, hm?"
A couple of buttons pressed, and he vanished in a flash of light.
"Eeee! Can't wait to hear all about that!" Max said, invigorated by the mental image of a romantic dinner. Sure, it wasn't hers, but she was still happy for them.
Orrin gave a look of contemplation, having to actually remember Cat's Cradle before taking it to the next shape.

He's okay...he'd call if he needed me...
"Oh, well...what's next?" Orrin asked, dropping the loops and smoothing them out into an intact string.
Violet peeked downstairs, walking down as she realized everyone was familiar. "E-evening..."

"Hobby? I spend a lot of my time in simple discovery...there's always new things in my pockets to understand. Most things I know about are because I have toyed with them." He stopped...there had to be something, though...something he did just for the fun of it...

"...I like that." she said after a moment's thought. "Simple discovery is one of the funnest things there is...finding something out all on your own, learning about it...it's the most raw amusement there is." She smiled gently, enjoying the concept. "I myself scrapbook. What's the new picture, Vi?"

"Scrapbooking...? Hm, maybe I should take that up...I could fill volumes with all the amazing things I find." Orrin smiled at the thought, but he hadn't actually acquired a scrapbook. It was the kind of thing people didn't lose.
"A wolf," she answered, smoothing out the graphite with her thumb for the fur. It was snarling on the page, the full moon behind some trees in the background. "It's almost done."

"Well, you see..." he said shyly. "A few abilities carried over from the animal base cells I was made from...If I get a wound or lose a limb at a joint, I grow them back."
