Zulma had a small laugh.
"I see. Well let's give the others an opportunity to have some, then they are all yours." She looked at Fee as if scolding him.

Zulma patted the chibi's head with a smile.
"Thank you Charlotte."
She stood up and started cleaning up the table.
Seemed that the smell had spread, because Jeff came rushing downstairs and stole two waffles before the chibi could eat them.
"I'm starving!"

Zulma petted the chibi some more.
"You need to share, they are plenty left."
Jeff stared a second at Charlotte.
"I guess." he shrugged, back to his usual grumpiness or was it just because it was Charlotte?
"Thank you for the waffles Miss Zulma." he said and went back to eating.

Jeff stared at her, truly puzzled.
"I don't hate you." he answered with his mouth full.
Zulma put the waffle eating chibi on her shoulder and headed for the kitchen to do some clean up.

Jeff looked at her a little annoyed.
"I'm sorry okay?" His eyes looked back at the waffle.
"May I eat now?" He actually waited for her answer before going back to his plate. He was just so awkward with girls.

"What are you doing up there?" Zulma asked laughing. That little one was so adorable.
Jeff now felt bad. He stared at his plate, swallowed the last bite then stood up and walked to Charlotte with the fruit tray.
"You want some?" he asked with an attempt at reconciliation yet he was still frowning.

Jeff managed a 'you're welcome' before heading back for the table. He'd been a jerk while for once she was not being a pest.
Zulma smiled and raised her hand to pet Fee who seemed to be falling asleep.
"So cute..." she whispered. For a second she saw Adam's face but she let it pass with a gentle smile.
