"Starmoon," sighed Angeles, her expression falling to stoic as she opened her coat where the white bat was nestled close to her chest, hanging from a sewn-on strap on the inside.
"Stellaluna," growled the bat taking wing and taking up a perch on the mantle.
"Enkeli, Angeles. It doesn't matter what language the name is in it's the same thing," her expression to the bat would be the same if she were looking at a wall, watching paint dry, "any special requests?"
"Feed me pawn," apparently, the relationship between the two had worsened during the travels.
"Yes Remy, just classic blood."

"Well, you told me it'd grow back," she answered him, "but thank you for letting me know; that does take a bit of weight off my shoulders. How are the others there...?"
After another chorus, it went to a short bridge, which gave her a moment to take in Angeles' condition...her clothes were tattered, and she seemed very intent on a drink. What had she been up to so long...? She couldn't think much more of it as her cue came up:

Tyler was somewhat neutral to Angeles' return...he didn't know her nearly as well as the others.

"Angry bat drink, comin' up." he said, putting a heavy-bottomed glass on a stool beneath Stellaluna and emptying a blood packet into it before returning to Angeles', finishing up, sampling, smiling, and sliding it over.
Charlotte giggled, waving to the bat. "Hello, fellow!"
"There's a party in the works on the 22nd, and everyone's trying to get stuff together for it...I wanted to have one, and Max is making it happen...kind of a collaboration." he said cheerfully. "It's before all of that Halloween nonsense, and a costume party! Come, and bring a new friend for us to meet!"
He blinked, hearing a few unfamiliar voices. "Some new folks just arrived...sounds like Remy knows them, though. Must be old pals."

Angeles smiled, she missed Remy. Stellaluna watched Remy with an unconcerned gaze as he brought him his drink and the white bat dropped from his height onto his feet and thumbs. hooking onto the edge, he began to lap the blood before looking up at the one who waved to him, "human," was his curt reaponse before continuing with his drink.
Angeles caught the glass in her hand and brought it to her lips. The first gulp gathered no response to the flavor, but as her body recognized it was being given what she wanted, the rest of the drink was appreciated slowly. Her eyes sparkled though; she could taste chocolate.
"Well done," she said to her fellow vampire.

Remy smiled. "Sol and I spent a night finding what worked...too sweet and it's like licking a glazed ham."

"A costume party...? Well, who am I to turn down an invitation," Stella answered, her costume already hanging in her closet. "Though, you all know so many from my organization...who could I bring?"
Tyler watched as Azana strolled by. "So, what do you make of it...?"
"Angeles? Well, she still has that annoying bat," Azana replied. "She looks like a wreck, though...hope she's alright."
Sosol grinned and nodded to the mention of his name, glancing at the costume magazine. He'd probably need Stella's vanishing shades trick again...

"I wouldn't know, but I suppose I understand the similie," She took another drink and looked over at Azana, she would talk to her later, "what other flavors have you concocted dear sanguine alchemist?"
Her response garnered Stellaluna's attention once more as he licked his chops. He was not a vampire bat but he was a 'vampire' bat the difference in appearance was stark, but only vampires really understood the distinction. Otherwise, humans would not have made the mistake.
"Do you intend to change this?" he purred, though sounding discontent, "a wise choice. I have heard of potions capable of this change, or do you plan on recieving the bite or blood of the truely superior race?"

He chuckled shyly. "W-well, the other reason for this party is to introduce me to some new friends, since I don't really get to go out much...so anyone I haven't met would do well. Max got everyone to start calling me Debutante for this; isn't that funny?"
Charlotte smiled sweetly. "Change comes from within, dear...you'll find what I mean soon enough, I think." She was perfectly fine holding her cards close to her chest.
"Oh, anything we have a flavor shot for, or can distill into an extract. Name one."

Stella chuckled into the phone. "Well, you are quite the gentleman...and if I had to guess, given your upbringing, you never had a real debut. Max might be right to call you that. Hm, I suppose I could bring Alistair...not sure how he is at a party."
Tyler went back to drafting plans, sure that if she actually wanted to talk to him, she would. Not that either of them would have much to say...
Azana wondered whether to approach Angeles or not...she was thirsty, but the drink could wait if the vampire needed some space. Well, that and the snarky bat was starting to aggravate her already.

Stellaluna scoffed, then returned to his drink, "speak to me again when you are no longer prey," to him vampires were gods, others demi, and humans mere livestock for the formost.
"Anything is a broad spectrum," she said before an ache in her chest turne dthe corners of her lips slightly, "so of all I know here, who is gone? The assassins I hope," and others she was afraid of might be gone.

Charlotte smirked. Then smiled. Then giggled, tittered, and rolled back onto the couch laughing in a mad cackle. "You're too funny~!!" she squealed merrily. "Can't you see anything beyond the end of your nose, little one?"
"What assassins? Oh, yeah. Haven't seen them in ages...ah...Aris came through a bit ago, haven't seen much of the Knights all that recently, but not many are straight-up gone."

"Drifters," she murmured before looking over, "Azana, Sol, Charlotte and you are still here... Gren and macPere as well I'd wager, since the place is still standing, any other drifters I should know about? Zulma..." and a name she didn't want to say.
Stellaluna kept drinking. unfortunately the escalating fit of giggles into chuckles and beyond made his hackles raise. He looked up, glowering licking the blood off his muzzle as she demeaned him, "I see better than you human, especially in the dark," it was not a literal response.

"Well, Enra, Kristen's ex Laimu, that djinn and the shirtless chef...they all left a while back," Azana chimed in. "I don't know if you heard that news yet."

"Yeah, those guys are still around, and those Az listed are not...there was a big hullabaloo back in July with Enta and Enra, if you care to know, or remember them." he said calmly.
"Oh? Then he's fine, bring him!" he smiled happily.
She smiled kindly over the back of the couch. "You're not good at metaphors, are you?"

"I remember the catboy, the other not so well," she said finishing her drink, a little surprised at herself for having finished it already, a little ashamed, though that was not shown, "thank you Azana, the place sounds empty. I hear a new voice though," it was a one-sided conversation, a man on his phone perhaps, but there were more important things present than listening in onto his conversation, "who is new?"
His name wasn't mentioned, then he had not stopped by. Good.
"I don't need to be," he growled back to the insolent woman. If the rules hadn't been made clear even to him, no violence, even though with how small he was he would not do much damage to the insulting creature.
