"I doubt she'd send us to do that," Azana said flatly. "I'm not looking for a worst case scenario here..."
"Nor am I," Sosol said from the stairs. "I could pick up your order from upstairs, darling..."

"That can be applied to just about any high-profile vampire," Sosol said, setting down a glass for his wife. "I'm just going to wait and see, personally...and if it's too much, this time I know to say no."
"Her friends...yeah," Azana nodded in agreement. "Still feels a bit weird, in the wake of Halloween 2007..."

Gren nodded. "Honestly...the Inn's for hospitality, not a personal army. And you think that's odd? I didn't know they existed until two years ago..."

"I almost wish I didn't," Azana sighed, taking a long sip of her cocktail. "That year was...particularly trying. A large-scale assault by vampires...most of them neophytes..."
"There were so many switches back and forth, I heard..." Sosol added, though he hadn't been there. "A person could be a vampire twice in one day...they had just managed to begin mass manufacture of Black Orchid Serum."

"I know, and the Von Helsons are headed mostly by Louie," Azana added. "I've moved on since then...just vestigial reflexes anymore. Remy and Angeles really helped with it, too." She was silent, sipping her drink; something about her body language hinted at something more, but it was quickly swallowed with the slight burn of alcohol.
"I was around for that bizarre alien encounter with the Zurg...that's a more entertaining story to tell." Sosol smiled, hoping to distract his wife.

"G Corp put out a drink for competition...it brought people back to humanity. Pretty much every bad sci-fi cliche you can think of...abductions, probing, cow snatching."
"Until the accident...a cow and Santa Claus got mind-swapped in a tractor beam mishap," Azana said. "It took a couple years to get that back to normal..."
"I remember that...I think I figured out how to reset it, but I was kind of supposed to be dead and all," Tyler shrugged. "Glad S-Corp took care of that for me."

"Maybe they never met you because this became their no-fly zone," Azana theorized, rejoining the conversation after pushing away those memories. "That was an odd one, the Zurg...probably one of the more memorable destructions of Gambino Mansion. Saucer crash."
