"Ah, um, erm," Mi-Yun looked back and forth between Sosol and Tyler, but before she could reply, the woman named Azana stepped forwards and introduced herself. "H-hello," Mi-Yun replied as she performed her little nod-bow, her voice shaky from confusion, "my name is Mi-Yun Han." She looked back at Tyler and Sosol. She could of nothing to ask but, "Umm.... Does the vampire sparkle?". Mi-Yun seriously didn't think that was a proper question and her stressed, half-smile conveyed that thought. However, at the same time, she was so brain-dead that she could only think to make a joke and try to get a laugh.

Sosol set down the now-full mug, a little surprised she took the news as well as she did. Well, vampires were a rather normal part of Gaian life anymore...Louie, Ian, among others. "No...she's not a Twilight type," he shook his head. "Think more along the lines of Dracula, sans the cheesy costume and the Eastern European accent."

Tyler chuckled, shaking his head at the Korean. "Not bad...neither is your laptop. New model?"

Azana nodded, wanting to add a pleasantry but finding herself cut off by the gentlemen. Instead, she took another mug of the oolong for herself and sipped at it. Staring down the impossible again, Azana...there must be something wrong with you.

Mi-Yun took a couple quick glances before pushing her laptop further into the middle of the table before accepting the cup of tea with a polite, "Thank you." In the past, she had bad experiences with spilling liquids and she wasn't about to repeat the experience while her laptop was nearby. She continued from the thanks to the response to Sosol's answer, "And I-I see.... I'm sorry, I've lived pretty much underneath a rock, figuratively speaking, all my life so that was the first vampire I've seen.... The first talking bat as well. I've heard bits and pieces about them on the news but I never thought I'd actually see one myself.... Actually, I'm pretty sure a part of me thought that all the mention about vampires was just a synonym for something else."

The girl sipped the tea before responding to Tyler's question. It was familiar, she was more comfortable with it. She thought for a moment before answering, "No, not really. I've had this for... three? No, this is my second so... one year? I wish I knew back then how much I'd be carrying my laptop around. I would have asked for a smaller one." Grasping the cup of tea with one hand, the girl quickly typed in her password. The short amount of time it took told two things: that Mi-Yun so rarely changed her password to the point that she was typing it out of muscle memory and that the girl's password was likely short and uncomplicated (she wasn't all that worried about someone hacking into her laptop).

EDIT- (OOC: Need to go to a meeting and deal with some other stuff after that so I'll be off for a bit. Sorry sweatdrop .)

"There's a few around here," Sosol said calmly, "but there is a very strict rule about no fighting here...besides, we keep a stock of vampire-friendly fare. We've never had an issue, so if there's a place to meet them, it's here." He sat down with Azana, taking the moment to quickly explain what they had discussed during her performance.

The lack of security was enough to make Tyler cringe. "You're a trusting sort, aren't you...?" He said, trying to stay polite but clearly put off by her lack of discretion. "Were you hoping for something smaller in size or in weight...?"

Siren walked downstairs and saw the group sitting around and walked over. Sitting down next to Sosol she finally noticed the new girl. "Hey you are Mi-Yun right? Nice to meet ya I am Siren. So Sosol got anything new to drink?"
PostPosted: Mon Oct 10, 2011 9:25 pm

Siren certainly seemed the friendly sort. "Hrm...try this one," he said, beginning to mix. "I've heard it has a chocolate flavor to it."

Moonbeam was now seated in a window sill, casually glancing in Siren's direction.

"Chocolate flavor? Sounds good!" Noticing Moonbeam out of the corner of her eye she pulled out some red cod for her and set it down. "So anything new in the weird and wacky?"
PostPosted: Mon Oct 10, 2011 9:42 pm

"Actually, yes," Sosol nodded, gesturing to Tyler and Azana. "We've been given a task, one that may prove impossible...but we're going to try it anyway. I can't say much on the subject right now, but there will be some busy people here in a few days."

Moonbeam crept up to the cod, sniffing at it. Cod again...? How long do you expect me to fall for this, hm? Regardless, she nibbled at it; boring, yes, but delicious all the same.

"Um, yeah, I suppose? But, really, it's not like I have anything important on my laptop," Mi-Yun replied to Tyler's cringe with an apologetic smile, "And both I suppose for the second question. Definitely something lighter, and something smaller would be nice so I can buy an actual case for my laptop rather than using a bag I made with my mom's help when I was ten as a makeshift case. Most cases in the store are too small and those that are big enough are practically individual bags." At the mention of the bag, the girl lifted it up and displayed it.

At this break in the conversation, Mi-Yun took the opportunity to sip in some more tea. Wrong move because just then Siren came down and addressed Mi-Yun. Swallowing down her tea just a tiny bit too fast, Mi-Yun spluttered and coughed for a bit, using the inside of her elbow to keep her cough contained. After the coughing fit, the girl was ready to greet Siren back, but Siren had already moved on to begin another conversation with Sosol. Feeling it would be rude to intrude, Mi-Yun kept her mouth quiet and went back to drinking her tea, this time a bit more cautiously.

Glancing down at Moonbeam she smiled "Well miss Moonbeam if you don't want it I can always get you something else? Ah I understand not being able to talk of a mission." Siren took a sip of the drink Sosol had mixed for her. "Ah this is delicious! It does taste a little chocolatey."

Moonbeam's ears twitched as she took a break, licking her chops. She officially found her latest sucker.

"A quick fix for the weight is to remove the battery," Tyler said over his tea. "The charger's lighter, and there are outlets everywhere, if you know to look. As far as smaller, you'd need a different one, obviously." He was momentarily distracted by the makeshift bag, an impressed smile crossing his face. "Not bad work for a ten-year-old...do you still make these?"

"Thank you...Remy's been helping me with more vampire-friendly flavors, and I've been applying the knowledge to normal drinks, too." He smiled, leaning on the bar. "Looks like Mi-Yun and Tyler are getting along famously."

Watching the interaction between the two Siren couldn't help but agree with Sosol. "So does she understand about vampires yet? I don't want to make her uncomfortable. Ah so how is Remy? I have not seen him in a while." Setting down set down some lamb for Moonbeam.

"Vaguely," Sosol nodded. "She hasn't had any close encounters yet, and I explained the safety of this place. She seemed to take it really well...guess that's what we get for the whole Von Helson issues a few years ago."

Moonbeam sniffed at the new one, a twinkle in her eye. This minion had taste...she settled back down, happily eating the lamb.

Siren nodded "Well I hope she will be able to get along with us okay." Glancing down at Moonbeam she smirked "Who are you calling a minion cat? I could always take it away..." Giving a small laugh Siren took another sip of her drink. "Sosol would you mind helping me with a project? You don't have to if you don't want to."

Mi-Yun was surprised, "Really, I never knew that about the charger...." For a few moments, she lapsed into silence as she considered the new idea. It could work... if her lecture halls had any outlets she could reach. Well, at the very least, she could bring it to the inn, which she could clearly see had outlets, without the battery. On the topic of the bag, she replied sheepishly, "No, not anymore. This was my first and last. Besides, really, all I did was sew the outside part together. My mom was the one who added the drawstrings and the thin cushion on the inside. Well, as it is, the cushion is on the outside actually since the bag is flipped inside out at the moment--only way to get my laptop to fit in it for some reason or other. Ingenious, really. Who'd think to use a car seat cover inside of a bag?". As she got into talking about it, Mi-Yun couldn't help but smile. It was obvious that she was really grateful to and even a bit proud of her mom.
