"What inspiration; the party? It was to get a little fun in before Halloween, and make new friends...just a mixer." he grinned.
Remy strode over and kissed her forehead. "Perfectly adorable, mousie."
"Really? I can't see why..."
They paused in a silent breath at Violet's forthcoming, Gren breaking it with a quiet applause.

Jeff scratched his hair uneasy which resulted in his hand taking a green hue.
"Damn it!" he grunted and washed his hands behind the bar while looking at Violet with wide eyes.
"woooow!"
Zulma chuckled.
"No I was talking about your outfit."
she turned as she noticed silence in the room.
Then she applauded gently.
"Violet, you look darling." she said softly.

Mi-Yun saw the platter of cookies and approached it cautiously. As an older woman had just said, they did look cute. Casually, Mi-Yun reached to take a cookie, hoping that she was allowed to. Just as she grabbed a cookie and began nibbling on it in a mouse-like fashion, the girl heard someone clap. Looking around, Mi-Yun nearly dropped her cookie at the elaborately dressed girl coming down the steps just then.

Violet took some shaky steps to reach the main floor, blushing at everyone's gazes. Gren's applause made a shy smile cross her face, and every instinct told her to look away.
Stella was a little disappointed to be upstaged, but the girl deserved it. She walked over to Sosol, leaning against the bar and smirking slyly. "You know how to make a Rainbow Road?"
Sosol shook his head and chuckled. "Coming right up...glad to see your sense of humor again, Stella."
"Usually, it's a lot of questions...half of which I don't feel like explai--" He paused at Violet's entrance, chuckling at the opportunity and walking over, bowing politely. "Milady."
"Yo Queenie!" Max greeted. "Wacha wanna hear? I'll do a song just for you!"

Aravilui came in quietly, and nervous. The lute he held, while not properly functional, was carefully carved. A little too carefully, considering it now looked like it had been a makeshift weapon. Charlotte had been kind enough to assist him in creating an artificial bruise over his left eye, and the knuckles he had scraped carving the lute nearly looked like he had punched something. Perhaps a little too well, as they still stung. His grip tightened nervously on his prop before he finally forced himself the rest of the way down the stairs. He could be social, he could.
Now if only he was not trying to convince himself first.

Zulma spotted her elf friend whom she had not seem for a while. From Gren's side, she waved at him.
"Good evening Ara, how are you doing today?" she asked kindly, knowing he was the shy type.

Gren chuckled, sipping his cider. He still had no idea what Stella was supposed to be, but the name had been appropriate. He was pleased to see that Violet looked good; that color truly suited her.
Remy waved to Ara. "Hey man, you made it!"
Adam toasted Violet. "Magnificent!"

Aravilui blushed slightly, waving back to Zulma. "I am well, milady, thank you."
He turned to Remy, smiling. "I only barely made it," he chuckled weakly. "By the skin of my teeth." The smile turned into a grin. "The eyeshadow barely made it out alive."

"That sly powder...it has the sneakiest way of getting everywhere." he grinned. "Well, come get a drink and a snack; the cider smells good!"
Gren turned to Zulma. "My outfit...well, it's hard to do historical wrong, and I have the hair for it, so..." he chuckled.

Violet had given the request, a rather typical Halloween party tune, and looked over at Ara with a frown. "Goodness...I hope that's a costume," she said, each step slow and deliberate for fear of falling on her face. Now she understood why they didn't walk often...
Max, meanwhile, had noticed Stella and laughed to herself...she was Rainbow Brite years ago, but given recent events, it was really fitting.
Stella looked at a tumbler with layers of different colors, giving an impressed nod. "You've gotten way too good at this..."
"Two years at a busy place like this...? I'd be sorely disappointed if I didn't learn anything," Sosol answered, tipping his bowler.

"Le hannon, I will," he came away from the stairs and forced himself to calm down as he felt immediately trapped. "It really does. I also kept wiping it away. I am surprised I did not end up with a bruised hand from Charlotte smacking it out of the way. She certainly can be very patient when the mood strikes her."
He glanced at Violet and smiled. "Yes, never fear. The bruise is false. The knuckles are not, but I did that carving this," he raised his apparently damaged lute, "not in an actual fight. Charlotte was kind enough to assist me, as such materials do not exist in my world, and thus I have no idea how to use it."

Jeff, in his joker costume, did not know much what to do or who to talk to, so he just sat and chew on a hat cookie. They were yummy and he quickly took a second one.
He looked from his seat at the new comer whose name sounded strange Miuew-something. He could not remember.
Zulma smiled at Ara. The poor elf seemed so lost. Well she had to admit that she also was a little so she could understand him.
"You're welcome." she said kindly.
Zulma nodded to Gren. She meant to ask why that particular costume instead of where it came from.
She leaned and whispered.
"I took mine from Adam. He loves nature so much so I thought that a nature pixie or flower fairy would please him. A way to apologize to him and tell him we are still friends." she blushed a little. "But he is always so oblivious, I don't think he'll notice." she chuckled, that did not seem to bother her. She was happy to have done something for someone instead of for herself.

After getting over the shock of seeing such a beautiful costume, Mi-Yun had continued to nibble on her cookie while putting her laptop away. Socialize. She needed to socialize. That was her main reason for coming to the inn. After having packed everything away safely, the girl looked around, trying to decide who she should interact with first. First, there was the group of people she already knew, but most of them were with others she didn't know so, really, there wasn't much of a difference. the girl hesitated, when her eyes met with someone else's. Instinctively, her eyes quickly brushed past in a steady movement that she hoped seemed casual. Curious as to who would be looking at her, the girl took a quick glance to see that he was still looking. Mi-Yun thought as she picked up her backpack and moved over to the table that the Joker-man was sitting in. She greeted him with a careful, "Erm, hello? May I sit here?".

"Probably...but he means no harm. I think that subtlety doesn't always work on him, is all." he chuckled. "I'm sure he loves it...but, apologize? What for?"
"When the mood strikes her, she's patient...yes, I like that. That works." nodded Remy, handing Ara a glass. "Here, drink up."
Charlotte giggled. "I can't deny that!"
Adam offered Violet and Jeff glasses of cider. "Would you like some?" he asked sweetly.

Jeff was almost staring at the Asian girl who ended up sitting next to him. He felt quite stupid. However he was not his usual grumpy self as the Innkeeper had told him he'd better behave for the party.
He shrugged but said.
"Sure."
He quickly went on with a frown.
"What is your costume?"
As Adam offered cider, he beamed.
"SURE! Thanks man!" he answered.
Zuma chuckled. "That's why he is so sweet."
She shook her hair from side to side.
"Well I've not always been the best...partner." she said not finding a proper word. She smiled.
"But all is fine now."
Then she added.
"I've not always been the best friend either." that was targeted at Gren and she kissed his cheek.
