"Already gone," Sosol answered. "She came to us seeking aid in dampening Dracula's hold on her, and left almost as soon as she got it."

"Well, that and a new paint job for that bat," Azana chuckled.

"Bat?" but he was cut off by the appearance of one of the innkeepers. D finally released his grip on the door and stepped to the side, shutting it. The others would be busy, he could conduct his own investigation. He leaned his sword on the wall by the door and walked over to the spot Angeles frequented. He could hear what the others said, but if it did not involve him or vampires, he would not interfer either to aid or hamper, as was his nature.

He passed his left hand over the table then set it on the edge and waited still for a moment before a hoarse voice said, "yeah she was here only a few days ago. His influence is here too, but faint. What they said might be true. Too smart for their own good if you ask me."

D took his hand away from the table and reached into his coat, pulling out the light blue book and flipping it open to a picture of a shadow in the shape of a wolf with crimson eyes, "can you work this sort of magic?" he asked.

"You know the rules D," grumbled the parasite and D snapped the book closed. He slipped it back into his inner pocket, then reach a hand delicately to his shoulder and closed his long fingers around something. As he brought his hand before him he opened it up to reveal the black moth Indara.

"You lead Him to her," he said coldly and the moth fanned its wings, as if apologizing, "now lead me."

Indara fanned her wings again before fluttering away from his hand and began moving about the room.

Unsure what D was up to, he strolled to Azana. "Well, seems Xei's no longer having to eat essence, but in order to do that, she's let herself get possessed by the demon Lyr. My first instinct is to have her depossessed, but she did it to herself. Remy chatted with her last night, but that's about all he got..." he frowned. "I...am not comfortable with the idea."

"Xei is carrying a demon," Azana summarized it flatly. "While not all of them are as ambitious as, say, Kaz, that's still disconcerting. Moreso when you consider that she's a siren."

Sosol blinked, the idea sinking in. "A demon with a siren's voice...dangerous combination."

"Let's hope she didn't leave that loophole in her contract, or that it hasn't figured it out if she has." She shook her head; she would have scolded her about dangerous contracts, but she was hardly one to talk.

The moth rested on his hand, fanning her wings languidly, but otherwise not moving, neither did D, waiting for the conversation to end and pick up on what the moth wanted to hear, if the insect wasn't simply ignoring his command. He leaned back quietly until his shoulders rested against the wall, then folded his arms. If the moth beleived he was going to help them take care of a demon she was wrong. He was a vampire hunter, nothing more. Demons were only cut down if they attempted to interferre with his hunt, or otherwise do him harm. But that rule applied to anything living or dead that tried to hamper his work.

"Isn't Charlotte mad because she offered her a safe essence source and got turned away..?" asked Gren, confused. "Why would demonic possession be better? This is so baffling...and why's sending her away dangerous? She said the demon just needed a vessel and was dormant."

"It's dormant now. If and when it gets stronger, do you want it out there, or at the masquerade? Or here, where there's a small army, half of whom are experienced with handling things like this?" Azana shook her head. "Sorry...not trying to get preachy here. It's just never safe to trust a demon to remain harmless."

Sosol set a drink in front of her. "I'm sure there's a way to resolve this without much hassle. That's an option, certainly, D...names. True names are hard to come by, however."

"There are ways of finding true names," said D, standing away from the wall and walking over to Gren. He said nothing to the group. He had put in his two cents and offered a suggestion. It was up to them now to decide what to do. The simplest option was to kill the possessed. An exorcism was an option, but it was never a pleasant thing for either party involved. And as Sosol said, finding a true name would be difficult, but not impossible.

He reached forward and gently took the moth away from Gren's hand and held it caged by his fingers as he made his way towards the door. As he lifted his sword the hoarse voice snorted in humor, "with all the things going around you in this world and you have no sense to ask them for help? What about all those demigods lying around with nothing to do eh? Oh well, maybe it's pride afterall."

D slid his sword onto his back sheathed and opened the door, then walked out. He paused only to look over his shoulder at the group standing around and said merely, "good luck," before shutting the door behind him. He walked down the stairs and opened his hand, the moth fluttering away immediately with her new freedom. She appeared disoriented as he mounted his cyborg horse, but once he was in the saddle, Idara began fluttering away down towards Durem,a nd D slowly followed at the insect's pace.
