"Okay, so she can't stay without supervision. How about that for now?" Azana asked. "In the meantime, I can ward the threshold...that'd weaken it on the way in, keep it dormant longer."
"As far as the name thing...I'm sure we know a few people with connections to information on demonology..." Sosol added. "Father Wilson, at the very least."
To D's suggestion, Azana frowned. "After the past three experiences I've had with demigods, I'm a little wary, thanks."

"...I really don't want to draft anyone for it..." Azana said after a moment of thought.
"We can ask for volunteers, I guess...but so far, I'm not really seeing a good candidate, given her hours." Sosol sighed.

"Knock Lili," came a rumbling voice from behind the door.
A small frustrated sob could be heard followed by, "kitty!"
"Just knock," sighed the voice exhasperated. It was a hard voice to place, it sounded both male and female, old but but youtful, feeble yet strong all at once.
"It's too hiiiiigh!" protested the other voice, unmistakeably the voice of a young child.
"Knock on the wood."
Another sob followed the order, and another sigh, "anyone inside? Anyone awake? Please allow my ward entry please."

He rubbed his temples. "I'll grill her about it later...and, D, we don't know where she went. She killed Erik and left." he said, mild irritation in his tone. "And why, who is it?"

Azana hopped from her seat, approaching the door and opening it slightly. "Do you abide by the rule of this Neutral Site: No fighting within its boundaries?"
Sosol shrugged. "Despite being involved, I never quite get vampire intrigue..."

The door opened up to a young black-haired girl, no older than five or six looking up at Azana with big surprised eyes. Behind her, beyond the doorstep, rested a dragon, a ying-lung to be exact determined to be female by the fan-like tail.
The dragon set her eyes on Azana and said simply, "I will abide by the rules of this sacred land. I'm sure you won't have trouble from my ward. I have no money, but can make a trade for shelter for the child; her name is Lili."

Gren's eyes narrowed. He recognized this situation and didn't like it. "For how long, why do you have this child, and when will you be back?"

Another kid... Azana twitched lightly. "We don't take kids as currency around here...but you're welcome in." She stepped out of the way, casting a sideways glance to Gren.
"Well, that's new!" Sosol smiled, waving in a friendly manner. "I haven't seen a dragon in a while..." He noticed the tension in Azana and Gren, looking to Lili.
She wouldn't leave her here...would she?

"I can hear your thoughts," warned the dragon, annoyed slightly at the woman's comment, "I'm not trading the child or abandoning her here, she is my ward, I am to protect her and keep her safe. I only figured it would be best for her to sleep indoors than another night outside here with me."
To the other questions the dragon sighed further. How many people must she encounter thinking she had stolen the child and burned down some village!? She was not one of those dragons, "I am not leaving," she growled in an annoyed tone, then turned her eyes to Gren and answered, "she was given into my care for protection, I am protecting her until the prophecy is fulfilled or her next of kin comes to find her."
The dragon shook her mane to regain her composure, "do you allow her in or not? I can trade you valuable things for her stay, and I assure you, I swear on my pearl I will not leave her here to be your burden," as it seemed that was what they people had an issue with.

"Sorry, we had a bit of a problem with having to kind of adopt a kid," Azana said sheepishly. "It was no assumption of something you did...but hearing all this is reassuring."
"I can't help but be curious...what prophecy are you talking about?" Sosol asked, looking to Lili. Small children destined for big things always had such a hard road ahead...

"I'm too big Lili," said the dragon before looking up at the patrons, "I'm not much aware of it myself. The child is a priestess to some god, the worshippers of this god have all been wiped out where Lili was from. She was brought to a favorite river of mind where the man, not her father, was trying to hide her in some reeds. Naturally I was curious on what was happening to my river so I asked, gave the already dying man a heart attack," the dragon grumbled something here but then continued, "he said that Lili needed to be given to her uncle, her next and last of kin, and continue her training as a priestess in order to open this world to the new god and usher in a new era of peace."
The Dragon scratched the ground, creating deep trenches without thinking about it, "its sounds all folly to me, but I promised to protect her until she was with her uncle, or until she's old enough to open whatever it is she's meant to open."
"Kitty come inside kitty!"
"I'm too big Lili."

"Here, Lili...come get something to drink." he said, offering with a crooked smile.
