"Precisely," Sol nodded, hesitating a moment before adding. "I will admit, however, sometimes things leak in--oh, hello, Siren." He grinned, serving her a quick drink.

"Ah sorry! I forgot to introduce myself. I am Siren. A more semi-permanent resident of the Inn. I come and go. And yes the topic does interest me as I am telepathic." She smiled at him hopping she had not been rude."I did not mean to just jump into your conversation with Sol here but I could not help myself."

Kai looked more at ease when Sol greeted the woman. "Kai." He said, pointing to himself. He watched her a moment and then said,
"Can't control yourself? Not exactly the best quality for a telepath, don't you think? It could make 'some people' uneasy to know that..." Kai inconspicuously took a sip of his cranberry juice on the heel of such a poorly veiled comment.

She took the drink from Sol before commenting"You know Sol I could always help you with your telepathy. Only if you want me to of course." She turned to Kai "So how did you find this place?"

"It's a rarity," Sol tried to reassure him. "Though when I first came here, it was more difficult...I've gotten used to blocking it out. Your secrets are safe, at least from me." He wasn't quite sure whether or not to be insulted by Siren's offer. He knew entirely what he was doing, after years of training his skills...it was just the sheer noise of the Inn that had thrown him off-guard.
Her heart's in the right place...she doesn't know where I come from.

"Nobody's secrets are safe, telepath or not." Kai stated. "but the effort is... appreciated." Kai looked to Siren, "I needed somewhere away from the werewolf filth that was piling up in the mansion during halloween. This place caught my eye. It was as good a place as any to hide out each night and, apart from a few undesirables, the people seemed kind of interesting. I decided to check out what it was like without the rivers of blood in the halls."

"I'm glad we volunteered at the Manor, then...and Siren, you're really not helping your case," he said, adjusting his sunglasses before refilling the cranberry juice.
Violet came downstairs, giving a shy nod to the trio at the bar. She looked a lot smaller without the elaborate dress, and a lot calmer without the blood and debris everywhere, but Kai would probably still recognize the art student...

"It's alright," Sosol nodded. "I really don't have much to hide, so I'm not as concerned. It's more my worry for the others...I'm sure some wouldn't want to share their past with you." His obscured eyes glanced to Violet with a momentary frown...no one should have to see what she had.
Violet blink, watching the trio at the bar and recognizing the man from one of her drawings. She never got his name, nor did she feel comfortable approaching him, but he wasn't a stranger...and if he was there, and talking with Sol, he couldn't be bad.

Kai gave a side-long glance at the woman who walked in. He vaguely recalled watching the girl scribble something on a piece of paper. Glad to have his juice refilled, Kai took a drink and listened to the exchange between the two telepaths.

She blushed again "Again sorry. Normally my shields are much better. But I was gone helping the council and forgot to check them before coming back." She took a sip of her drink and fiddled with it for a moment

Violet crept over toward the bar, keeping her eyes low until she got there. She held her sketchbook at arm's length toward Kai, a rather humorous cartoon of himself arguing with the strange vampire at the masquerade.

"Incredibly busy," he answered with an exasperated sigh. "The Masquerade was a disaster, and I spent a lot of time with Remy healing folks...and just when it ends, it's Az's birthday. It took me a few days to recover from it all."
