"I understand that a lot better than you'd think," Sosol chuckled, gently wrapping her hand around the granola bar. "You follow energy patterns, yes...? And considering demons are pretty distinct, they must stick out like sore thumbs to you."
No wonder she hadn't asked about the shades...all she saw of people were auras wandering about. "That does leave you with a problem around objects, however...is that why you haven't wandered upstairs?"

Set was curious. He was sitting, wrapping himself up in the warmth of fire and fabric as best he could.
He and andrew looked at one another.
"...Do you smell it, too?" He asked his uncle.
"...Yeah." Set muttered, with a grin on his face.
Both Egyptians made their way down the stairs.

Azana walked downstairs with a small stack of papers and a tired expression. "...I hate my cousin so much right now," she muttered, flopping onto one of the couches.
"Why's that...?" Sosol asked, momentarily distracted from helping Adra with her snack.
"Because...after all that back and forth communication, after a few rough drafts and a nearly sleepless night, she's doing what she should've done in the first place and help me in person."
"Ah...I see. Something caffeinated, then?"

Meanwhile, over Stella's head, a pair of raspberry eyes behind bright green goggles peeked from the ceiling.

Stella strolled into the Inn, shutting the door behind her and getting that odd sensation of being watched. "Sorry I'm a bit late," she said, setting down a heavy-looking tote. "I brought some of my extra material...I really should get those Lab folks to digitize some of this library..."
"Books are nice and all, but I have to agree, at least on bricks like this," Azana lifted one with both hands, setting it aside. "So...any new ideas?"
"The tactic's pretty much the same. Lure him in, let Adra and Sol get Penance prepared, and we yank the demon out," Stella beamed. "And, of course, your slayer friend gets the satisfaction of slicing and dicing the parasite."

"Oh! Right!" he chirped, hurrying to the fridge and beginning to pull out the ingredients. "Can you get me two large bowls and a pie pan?" Enta blinked at the two new faces. "Umm... H-hello..."

"You bet...come on in, guys, we're cookin' cheesecake, and pears and confit!" said Adam, trotting off to get the dishes, the wonderful smell of fruits and spice and wine wafting from a large pot on the stove. (For those curious, he's making this.)
