Stellaluna gently scratched the cat's head as that was the last piece of meat. A sound of wingbeats appeared suddenly then stopped and Lili came quickly through the door. She shut it and then turned her eyes going wide.
"Wow! It's so pretty in here all of a sudden!"
The little girl spread her arms in amazement, looking rather puffy in her thick coat and fleece gloves, but a huge grin could be easily discerned from behind her coat, her cheeks still rosy from the cold outside. The dragon again settled down by the window.

"Huh? What are those things?" she asked temporarily forgetting about the sudden change of settings for the inn. She hummed in thought for a moment then held up her finger, "may I please have some of both so I may try them?"

"Why, sure." he smiled, heading into the kitchen, returning fairly shortly with a small cup of both. "Here...the brown one's hot chocolate, and the white one is eggnog, without rum."

"...you had a marker the whole time," Tyler smirked, ignoring the obvious comment. He pulled his teleporter from the bag, waving it to Orrin and Charlotte. "We're late enough...let's go!"
"That just gives everyone else enough time to get there so they can see how beautiful you are," Orrin smirked.
Tyler rolled his eyes, putting in the coordinates. "Watch carefully, Nix," he said as the trio vanished in a flash of light.
Violet pouted as they left, but she closed her eyes, continuing to sketch the details while she still remembered them...

Charlotte didn't even try to hide her smile as she took Orrin's hand. "All right...let's wow 'em, kid!"
Adam waved as they vanished. "That's bound to be fun...I hope they bring photos."

Nix put on a face that obviously meant something along the lines of a thick marker not being suitable for regular writing. However, she couldn't write down her thoughts as Tyler told her to watch carefully. The girl did as she was told and was rewarded by a painfully bright flash of light, akin to staring at the sun, directed right at her eyes. As most normal girls would, she rubbed her eyes to get rid of the dark spot that appeared in her vision thanks to teleporter. When she looked back up, all three were gone,
Now that she had no one to talk to, Nix took the chance for some time alone even within the bustling inn. The others seemed to be busy in their own conversation as well. The girl pushed the lead back into the mechanical pencil and carefully put it away in the place she kept most of her writing utensils. Then, she pulled out her unsharpened pencil from before and a small knife. Using the knife, she began sharpening the pencil.
After the pencil was sharpened, Nix put the knife away in her bag of writing supplies, took out an eraser in its stead, turned her sketchbook to a blank sheet of paper, and then closed her eyes. For several minutes, the girl remained seated, frozen and with her eyes closed as she ran through everything she had just seen in the inn that day, picking out moments of interest in it. The previous days she had already drawn in her sketchbook. Finally, once she was satisfied with her memories, the girl came to the hardest part: drawing what she had thought of. By no means was she a naturally talented artist, but through practice she had managed to become somewhat decent. Only somewhat, though, and even that much was only when she was extra careful. First was Gareus Fletcher. Once she was done with his sketch, she would do one of Tyler.

Stellaluna watched the people vanish and figured that is how Charlotte had evaded him the time they had played hide and seek. Scoffing slightly he returned his full attention to Algernon and the calico.
Lili smiled and took both cups carefully and walked to the nearest table. She set the cups on the table and hopped into the chair. She smiled and sniffed both, concluding that she should drink the colder one first so that the hot one had time to cool down. She selected the creme-colored liquid and took a sip. She thought about it for a moment. It was thick, thicker than milk, and had a definitely unique flavor. After a moment she smiled and drank some more.

Violet glanced sideways to the other person with a sketchbook, tilting her head in mild curiosity. She didn't want to break the other's concentration...so she looked back down on her work and continued. After all, it wasn't every day you had two such finely dressed people to work with.

Violet's hand reflexively lifted off the page to prevent any marks. She blinked a few times at Adam in disbelief. "B-but...most of what I draw...it's just what I see here..."
