Kristen returned with sheets of paper and began to slice strips for Zippo. She blinked, suddenly reminded of past days. "Charlotte...is that jar still here? The jar of cranes?"

"What jar of cranes?" she asked curiously, giving Zippo some paper and letting him shred it.
(She wasn't around then! ^_^)

Kristen glanced around the main room, spotting it on the top shelf of the bar. "That one," she answered, pointing with a grin. "A long time ago, when people still called me Skuld, we made a thousand paper cranes...almost all of them have someone's name written inside. We hoped it would bless them, and the Inn."

"Must have a lot of repeats..." she said, looking at the jar, gluing some of Zippo's strips together. "But this place has people who need the help most...want to make more cranes?"

"Sure!" She answered, fetching a ladder to bring down the jar. "I will find a pen...since you have Zippo, see if he is willing to cut some squares."

Kristen climbed the ladder carefully, reaching out for the large jar of cranes. She slid it off, taking a moment to re-balance herself, and began to back down the ladder. Despite being able to tell where the next step was, she shook with uncertainty, afraid to slip and break the jar.
Once she reached terra firma, she turned and walked for the table, thousand cranes in her arms.

Kristen hummed in thought as she tried to remember. "It was around the time of Angeles and her odd plot, but I do not recall if that was the reason."

Nix watched as the party-preparations were initiated. the girl mused,
Nix stood up and approached Kristen and Charlotte, she lightly touched one of the squares of paper on the table with the hand that wasn't holding her sketchbook and looked at them with an inquisitive smile. She wanted to join in on the paper crane folding.

Nix smiled in appreciation and took up the piece of paper while putting her sketchbook away in her bag to free both hands. She remained standing as she began folding a paper crane with skilled hands. Her fingers moved deftly as she easily breezed through the initial folds and even finished the tricky middle portion with apparently no trouble. All the while, a content smile remained on her face.
Finished with the first rather quickly, Nix set it down and started on a second.

Kristen folded a crane, memories floating up from the depths from the last time she had done this...the Inn had been introduced to her prophetic ability in a rather jarring way.

(Forgive me, but Set's birthday's over and we all were invited to the Bengali party, and it's a new year. Pardon my timeskip.)
Gren took a deep breath, setting down his washcloth. Everything was clean, ready for a new year. He grinned, proud of his work. "Bring it on."
