A few nights later, Gren sat back in the main room, busily filling out bills, looking with mild dread at the tax forms to pay. "Adam, how is it that the Martian who's faking residency on this planet, let alone country, wind up in charge of taxes for the Inn?"
"I dunno, Gren...I've never paid taxes. I don't exist, really..." replied the blond, playing with simple craft clay.
"They're tricky? I can try to help..." Remy said, smoothing a flank on his tiger statue.
"Nah, it's better if I do it..."

Adam's jaw dropped in shock. "Oh my gracious, what happened to you? Did the ghosts get you?"
Remy stared. "Whoa..."
Gren took a deep breath and looked away, getting up and fetching cleaning supplies and the medical kit.
