Anubis nodded. "Yes. Her name is Kebechet." He grinned, smoothing her hair. He mumbled something to her, in another language, and she found the bravery to peek out at them with her shining eyes.
Set glanced over at Max, raising a brow. He seemed rather unimpressed. "Set. And you are?"

Set's expression dampered. It wasn't exactly a frown, but you could tell that he wouldn't be wasting much brain space on remembering this 'Max'. Although not malicious or hateful, it was a look that belonged on a face of a disinterested student. "...Likewise."
He then turned his attention so something much more worth his time. He grinned his crocodile grin and beamed at the mention of the little girl. "she's just darling, isn't she? don't worry- he's nice. Baba likes him, too."
This seemed to reassure the child, and she reached out and took Adam's hand with a little nod.
Her skin was cold to the touch, like a tall, chilled, glass of ice water. However, it was just as refreshing.

Adam shook it gently with a tender smile. "She's adorable...does she speak English, or Egyptian?"
Gren smiled a little,mixing up some tea.

"Oh, psh." Set smirked. He appeared quite young for a man called a grandfather, great, tall, and muscular. his features were sharp, but becoming, "She's deserving of the attention."
Anubis smiled at his daughter, and kissed her on the forehead. "could you tell them, Kebechet?"
"....I can speak......" She mumbled, hands near her face, and leaning against her father.

"Maro?" Anubis asked curiously, as Set took the juice box. He put the straw in and gave it to his grandchild, who looked at Gren with starry eyes and mumbled her thanks.

He grinned, waving, pleased by the girl's pretty eyes. "Heh...we call him Marouse; that's his handle."
"He's a Turkish man who came over to love here! He sells antiques!" offered Adam brightly. "I bet, if you wanted, he could help with lessons."

It had been nothing against the Egyptians, but Tyler was a bit absorbed in what he was doing to pay them much mind. He smirked, highlighting an item on one of the papers. The tax code was just like any other, if they bothered to learn enough about it...
Once you crack it, you can make it say just about anything you want.
"I would love to see the antiques dealer again," Orrin said with his usual serene smile, walking downstairs. He exuded an aura of pure chill, and he looked over to the young girl with a grin. "Excellent choice...the juice is delicious."
Azana rinsed her plate, setting it to dry and shaking out her damp hands. She heard some of the conversation outside and leaned on the counter, for a moment grateful that they could entertain a child without having to babysit. Sure, they had enough people for the job, but everyone seemed to be busy, and it fell routinely on the same people over and over. She wasn't willing to do that anymore.
"Never met a tiny goddess before," she chuckled to herself, finding the statement a little ridiculous...more so with the tally of what she actually had met.
I guess there's a reason we used to be so covert...we doubted anyone would believe us.
