"Gee, Sosol, you must be a psyyyyychic." drawled Charlotte with a grin. "Thanks!" She promptly added cream and sugar to her own, and just cream to Fee's. He drank it gratefully.
Gren sipped his, black. "It must not be an easy job...dunno that I'd do it well."
Adam stirred in some honey. "I'd be biased, for sure."
"It helps to know what you're looking for." offered Marouse, taking a cup.

Sosol laughed, shaking his head and almost losing his concentration on his own mug, currently being stirred with a spoon of honey. "I don't get that one a lot..."
"Well, to be fair, I have had a lot of practice, and it's kind of my purpose in life." Orrin shrugged. "I just hope I have no need to enforce karmic policy any time soon. Having poor karma is one thing, but there are some things that are, sadly, unforgivable."

"Surprisingly, no," Orrin said calmly, stopping for a sip of tea. "All of those acts can be karmically repaid." He drifted a momentary glance to Tyler with the hint of a smile.
"There are some who would try to cheat the Karmic System itself...very few, as it is quite difficult and the penalties incredibly steep, but they exist, nonetheless. In a way, it is a sort of stealing....robbing someone of their karma through a removal of free will."

"Marouse is right," Orrin nodded. "Cult leaders can be quite difficult to handle, but they ride the grey area as far as the Karmic System. The will is heavily eroded in their grasp, but oftentimes the person chooses to be there in the first place. It's tragic."
He looked distantly out the window, calm grin fading at some of his older memories. "What I wouldn't give for that function of mine to be obsolete...it is far from tidy work."

"So...Hitler-bad?"
"That's fairly close, yes."
"Sheesh. That guy had problems, and I don't understand them." sighed Adam. "I'm not even going to try, since I think it'll just make me angry."
