He smiled brightly at Arda. "I'm an incubus!"

Kristen grinned, pouring herself a glass of water and sitting near Malachai. "An incubus...Azana would call Eliwood that sometimes. Now I seem to understand why."
"In other words, more of a lover than a fighter," Tyler chuckled. "Glad to see you again, though...I was thinking you vanished into thin air after that parasitic thing."

"I've never heard of an incubus, I guess they were never so dangerous they had to be hunted...I'll trust your judgement and assume he's not a threat to anybody." Adra didn't turn back to Tyler since he'd been out of practice using her sight to tell people apart...now it was back to just knowing they were there until she resharpened her skills. "I did have to return to my father to report the death of two powerful demons...I was allowed to return, but Penance had to stay over there to make sure he was completely cleansed." Adra was now extremely curious, she thought she knew everything, but there was always more to learn. "Would you mind explaining what an incubus does? I've never really met/killed one before."

"W-well, I'd unglamour and show you my horns...who's Eliwood?" he asked Kristen.
"Mr. Gren's husband. He has a tail too!"
"Is he part demon..?"
"No, actually."
"That's odd...then why would she call him that?"
"He's a very lusty man."
He sat up. "Ohhhh! Is that what I smelled?" he smiled, chipper. "There's a luster here?"
"...You may not eat him."
"...aw." He looked to Arda. "Ah...well, you haven't hunted any because we don't leave Hell very much. We're quite strong, really...we violate sinners, very violently."

"Yeah, he might enjoy it," Tyler barked a laugh, standing to get his own glass of water.
"Incubi are very sexual demons," Kristen explained, remembering some of her reading during her education. "They seduce their meals, siphoning some soul from their lovers for sustenance. Am I correct, Malachai?"

Adra's face turned bright red as she listened to their explanations...she was still partly in the mindset of a child so just hearing about it was embarrassing for her. "Uhm...O-okay, I think I get it." Adra thought about something...she'd heard of succubus' far more often than she'd heard of incubus. She wondered what the difference was besides gender...she wouldn't pry to deeply though.

"Well, you won't be needing to worry about that, at least," Tyler said, trying to steer away from the topic for everyone's benefit. He had almost forgotten how young Adra was...
Kristen sipped at her water, giving a nod of understanding as she saw glimpses of memory from Tyler. They found a source of food that was safe for everyone...but the source of that source was most dangerous.
The future grows less clear...interesting. Has fate shifted away from an assault...?

Adra turned her gaze to Tyler and gave him a nod of thanks...she'd rather know about the world when it was time for her to know about the world, not before. "I'm...gonna go out for a run, I'll see you later." Adra said, she basically forced herself to train near the inn so she didn't get lost, but even so she found herself falling over random things whenever she was trying to seriously get some form of practice in. "Be back later!" She waved as she ran out the door to work on her cardio.

"Malachai is not harmless," Kristen answered relatively quietly. "Almost no one here is...however, I believe your question is more in terms of malicious intent. I sense no malice, and have no reason to believe he endangers those in these walls."
"That's fair," Tyler nodded. Kristen did have a good point. Very few people in the Inn were harmless by typical definition...but her ruling that he wasn't dangerous was a big help. So far, he had been racking up some good testimonials.

"I am not surprised," Kristen frowned. "She merely requires time." She looked to Malachai, grinning. "That is good...it seems she likes you, too. Perhaps you can help her through her anxieties around demons."
"Good luck," Tyler rolled his eyes. "Nothing against either of you, but I'm not quite as optimistic about Violet's recovery."

"Physically, she's fine," Tyler answered Malachai, cleaning his glasses, "a lot better than when she got here. But going through stuff like that leaves a mental and emotional scar. The shrinks call it PTSD, but it basically means she still carries it with her and would freak out if confronted with another demon."
"Such things are not incurable," Kristen frowned at Tyler. "Many people find healing from painful events...and perhaps exposure to a nice demon will help eliminate her adverse reactions."
