Phoenix at first stared, then tried to hide her laughter in her hand, dropping her fork. Silencing it was almost futile by the time he was finished and she was almost red in the face with her giggling and snorting, she stomped her foot a couple times before she removed her hands and held up a finger. She took a few deep breaths then chuckled some more and picked up the fork, "okay, I'm better now."

He shook his head. "No, they don't. They said I mustn't anyhow." he sighed. "And I'm not s'posed to go alone to get soulfruits, and my powers are bound, so I'm kind of stuck."

Phoenix rubbed her chin, "but you can't go alone to get it," she closed her eyes and thought a moment before sighing and getting back to her food, thinking while she ate.

Orrin was about to answer Adam's questioning noise but got swept up into the conversation they were having about soulfruits and rubber ducks. When Adam had a moment, he caught his attention to answer.
"This teacup is supposed to make things taste better...I had never really tested it until now. She was telling the truth; that's all."
"Okay, so that's what you have so far?" Tyler asked, on his phone as he came downstairs. "And what about Stella? How's the alchemical attempt coming along? Oh...no injuries, I hope. Okay, thanks." He sighed, knowing that Malachai hadn't eaten in a little while...as much as he loathed to admit it, he'd have to pay their supplier another visit.
