Advent looked over at Mal, "oh, so it's your fault?" he asked with a joking smile, "congratulations. Being the root of the problem isn't always a bad thing," he winked at Mal before looking at the barrel, "some water I guess, I haven't been filled in on all the details about what's going on

He sniffed the air after the barrel, eyes narrowing as he scooted further from it, as if it were filled with a viciously dangerous chemical. "Yeah, yeah it is...and it's not that big a deal, really. I don't want more pity than I'm getting today..."
He looked back to Advent. "So, you said you like me? Why?"

Zulma took a little longer than usual to react. But her voice was strong and her gaze steady when she spoke up.
"Please, give me that paper back. This is no trouble. I can take care of it."
She extended her hand, palm up. Charming or not, good looking or not, she was an independent woman and would not accept such a behavior. Who did he believe he was to overprotect her like that when they barely knew each other?! She was not mad, but she was not happy either.

"You don't like my brother," he said honestly with a smile, "I like people who don't like my brother."
He blinked and looked at Zulma before grinning, filching the paper from his pocket and holding it between his index and middle finger, "oh, this paper?" he asked teasingly, "if you want it back, you should com get it," it was a challenge and it was issued with a hint of seduction in his voice.

Zulma stood up with a smirk. Someone willing to play... She leaned over Advent, one hand resting on the back of his chair, arm brushing his ear. In a quick gesture, she took the paper from his fingers.
"If you want to play this kind of games with me, you're gonna lose." she purred without shame, her cheek almost touching his, before pulling back, grabbing her empty glass and trotted to the counter.
"Do you want something to drink Mal?" she asked brightly, opening the paper to make sure it was the right one then putting it in her pocket with the orb.

He held up his glass. "More fruity things-juice please!" he smiled, feeling that things were approaching normal.

((turns out no Valium needed this time around, so I am completely coherent))
Advent smiled at as Zulma leaned over him and brushed against her touch, eyes keeping to hers. There was no resistance when the paper was taken and his arm went back to the table, but his focus was on the woman. He chuckled deeply at her purr and whispered in her own here, "either way, I win."
He smiled and watched her walk, his eyes wandering to her hips and smirking before turning and drinking more of his drink, he smiled at Mal with a glance to the demon through the corner of his eye.

Zulma did not seem to notice or pretended not to notice Advent. She poured a glass for Mal and went to serve him before going back to the bar to wash her glass. There was a dishwasher but at time she enjoyed hand cleaning.

Advent chuckled, "I do believe you and I will get along famously," he said to the demon with a grin and a toast finishing his drink and walking over to get himself some more, grinning more playfully at Zulma. Riki returned, transforming before he even hit the ground and running back in, "I'm back!" he announced running to the kitchen to continue to look for the one ingredient. Advent walked back, setting the glass on his table as he walked by and shut the door Riki had left open.

He hummed, sipping his drink. He was never too sure of people whose souls were ambiguous to the smell, but he could at least be nice.
He looked to Riki, still not sure what he was about. "So bouncy."
