"Good morning." answered Lin with a bow. It seemed that despite how stunned she was, she would never forget her manners.
The tastu landed awfully close to her and she was forced to look at it. It was even more beautiful up close and it she had been anyone else, she would have reached out in the hope of touching the dragon.
When he showed her his throat, vulnerable and magic, she blinked. "I see." she said simply. To be honest, although her face showed nothing, she was simply unable to say much more for the moment.
Vampires were real. Tatsu were real. What else was she going to meet in this chaotic place?

"Riki, I think that's enough for today, go play in teh lake and tell us how warm it is," said Advent moving away from the wall, ready to help the woman to her seat if needed.
"Aww... but I wanted to take her for a ride! You know flying!" Riki looked down at the woman with a hopeful gaze, "come on it will be fun, do you want to!?"
Advent did not interject immediately, waiting for the woman's response while looking back at Zulma.

Zulma was smiling. She was jealous that Riki never offered her a ride! In truth maybe she was not, because she was afraid of heights.
Lin blinked. Was he serious? Yes, yes he was!
"Thank you very much for the offer. Another time maybe." she answered, bowed, then turned. She removed her shoes before stepping into the Inn, still not fully sure of what had just happened.

"Aww, okay, later then, I'll go check the water for my brother now. Bye miss Zulma I'll be back!" the tatsu took off, circling in the air and slithering towards the lake. Advent chuckled and shut the door watching Lin get back to her seat, he moved over and bowed to the woman at the waist, speaking in Japanese as he did so, "sorry about my brother, he does not meet many people from his home country. I am Advent Driscoll, a pleasure to meet you."

Lin had barely the time to sit that the blond man addressed her in the most proper way in a perfect Japanese. She quickly rose to her feet, bowing to him in returned. "Lin Ming. The pleasure is all mine. Dozo yoroshiku." She looked at the man and although she was pleased, her features did not show it. "Your otouto-san is a very unique boy." she said slowly. Now that she was thinking about it. If his brother was like that, was he too different?
Zulma waved at Riki. "Later Riki!!!" She blinked surprised when Advent and Lin started speaking in a language unknown to her. Maybe the drinks could wait, she thought.

"He always has been," Advent returned in English, knowing that it was rude to carry a conversation that others may not understand, "when he returns, I might ask him to prepare some food for the four of us, I'm sure he would love to have us try his orange chicken," Advent turned to look over at Zulma and smiled, "would that be alright, if he takes over your kitchen for the evening?"

Lin sat back on her seat, her hands resting properly on her laps. "Food from home always has a special taste to it." the Asian woman said.
Zulma looked at them with a beaming smile. "Sure thing!" she said, knowing that Riki was good in the kitchen.

Valkyrie walked into the part of the inn that seemed generally busy, and quietly sat alone at a table. She laced her hands together, elbows on the table, and scanned the room.
"What am I doing here?" she thought, staring down at the detail in the table's surface. "I need to find work, or I'll go crazy."
She looked up again, only to catch the sight of someone's hand grazing their glass. The small pinging sound was like the sound of a bang on a door to her. It continued to tip, its contents just barely beginning to climb the side of the glass. She stood, stepped over to the cup, and set it right side up before any of the contents had chance to jump out.
She exhaled, and looked over at the person sitting just beside her...
{Had to try something somewhat exciting? biggrin }

"Who're you?" smiled the girl, hardly more than seventeen, a lovely air of dottiness floating in the air about her. She was dressed very fancily, as if she were going to some sort of event, though she clearly wasn't. "I'm Charlotte!"

Valkyrie blinked, taken aback by her cheery attitude. "Valkyrie," she said plainly.
"Nice to meet you, Charlotte."
She tried relaxing her face. Her sleep-deprivity was noticeable, with a light shade of gray under her emerald eyes. She hoped the girl was cheery enough to overlook her appearance.
