He picked up a clod of dirt, trying to piece together what Adam and the shades man were talking about. After a few seconds, he gave up and wandered down to observe the small robot, his mouth a small 'O' of curiosity.

"Well, we could go find him and ask, then." smiled Adam. "I'm sure this'll be quite a story."
Malachai peeked our from Felix's room groggily. "Huh?"
"Ah, speak of the devil. Did you take my mint plant?"
"Uh-huh..." he said, rubbing his eye and padding out. "Senpai's arms were going all funny, and she said she needed it and some blessed water. I got her what I could find, and she cast this spell, and I had to pour it over her arms. Then she passed out, so I put her to bed...am I in trouble?"
Adam hummed, shaking his head. "No, no...that's worth a mint plant, for sure."

He nodded hopefully. "I have lots of both." It especially concerned him to know that there were bullets of holy water, which was as good as a death sentence if he found himself on the receiving end.
Adam nodded. "I think I'd like to hear this too."

Bure stepped down to the floor, following JIM around as Gareus stepped downstairs. He seemed more tired than usual, his usually brushed back hair tangled and askew. His face seemed heavier than usual, his body dragging as he got to a seat.

Sosol looked at Gareus, momentarily considering giving him a mug of coffee as he prepared himself to tell a long and not entirely pleasant story to two interested parties. He quietly excused himself for a moment as he provided a mug, cream, and sugar to Gareus, setting it down in front of him.
"Hopefully this will help," he said, joining Adam and Malachai again. "Now, where should I start...have you two met Angeles Valentine?"

Mal shook his head earnestly.
Adam raised a hand."I did. Seemed folks weren't too happy with her... Were they for her, and vampire control?"

"I suppose I'll catch Mal up first," Sosol nodded. "Angeles was a good friend of the Innkeepers here...a vampire who hunted her own kind, and Azana's predecessor so far as keeping riff-raff in line around the Inn." He sent a quick mental image, Malachai soon able to see a somewhat sullen vampire with snow-white hair and jade green eyes.
"This happened long before you met her, Adam...back before she got wrapped up in some vampiric drama she dragged into the Inn with her."

As he sat, he overheard their conversation, listening quietly.

"So, she brought in some trouble? How come?" frowned Adam.

"At that point, I'm not sure she knew where else to turn," Sosol answered, "but that has little to do with our current tale of that pistol. A lot of us didn't know the whole story until the smoke cleared, so to speak. It seemed to start with a big fight between Eliwood MacPere and his mother. It was a shouting match, not the first in the Inn between them. Angeles appeared to overreact to the situation, being rather protective of the Innkeepers, and stole his mother away. Azana, myself, and a few others went to retrieve her...that went without incident, but everyone was left shocked by what had happened. It just didn't make sense..."

Senpai emerged from the room, tired and yet invigoratingly minty. Peru's tiny feet moved faster than Senpai- the small chick not only descending first but locating a proper table by the stairs. Senpai, taking efforts to make no extra noise, unceremoniously sat in the chair- quietly winded from the effort- lifting the chick up and pouring grain on the table to feed him.
